Chapter 772 Derek
Adrian dived in for a deep, passionate kiss with Natalie, their tongues tangling as they fell onto the bed.
Natalie clutched the bedsheet, letting out a few soft whimpers.
With one hand, Adrian started unbuttoning her nightgown while holding her close.
Natalie realized she brought this upon herself and regretted it.
She tried pleading with her eyes, but Adrian wasn't having any of it.
She had come onto him, and he wasn't about to let her go.
No matter how much she begged, it didn't make a difference.
Her voice, already hoarse, grew even more strained from crying.
Natalie pounded on his shoulder, and Adrian tried to soothe her gently.
She choked back her sobs.
"It's so uncomfortable. Let go," she gasped, struggling to catch her breath.
"Okay. It'll be over soon," Adrian replied.
Natalie believed him, but it ended up lasting over an hour.
When she finally opened her eyes, it was 10 AM, and she felt sore and weak all over. Adrian was nowhere to be seen.
She got out of bed, her legs shaky, and headed to the bathroom.
The hot water was ready, kept at the perfect temperature, with her favorite scented bath bomb dissolved in it.
Natalie sank into the water, the warmth enveloping her, and she finally started to feel a bit better.
She raised her hand to touch her collarbone.
Her fingers, covered in body wash foam, brushed against a wound on her collarbone, making her gasp softly.
Adrian always had a thing for nibbling on her collarbone.
Her skin was already delicate; she didn't even scrub too hard when bathing. Now, there was a clear red and swollen hickey on her collarbone.
After her bath, she got up and looked at herself in the mirror. Her body was covered in bruises.
Her face was so swollen she could hardly stand to look at it.
Her eyes were so puffy they were almost shut.
She really didn't know how Adrian could have kissed her just now.
Putting on a light pink bathrobe, she walked out.
Adrian had prepared breakfast. She found her favorite hot dogs and a nicely grilled chicken breast, along with a carton of warm milk on the table.
She quickly finished her breakfast and noticed Adrian wasn't there. She took out her phone and saw that Adrian had sent her a message an hour ago
Adrian: [There's something at the office. I'll be back in the afternoon to keep you company. There's medicine on the table; you must take it after eating.]
She quickly replied: [No need. Your work is important.]
She couldn't possibly let Adrian neglect the vast Howard Group just to keep her company.
She moved around a bit, took her medicine, and pulled out the latest script she had received, reading a few pages. She sat on the couch and turned on the TV when her phone rang. It was a call from Chris.
Chris asked, "The rough cut is ready. Do you want to come and take a look?"
She agreed.
Work was important.
She valued this film greatly; it was intense, passionate, hopeful, and full of effort. She had already been deeply immersed in the role while filming.
It was the change of seasons and she had a fever and a cold, so she put on a thicker outfit.
Then she called Derek, the personal driver and skilled bodyguard Adrian had arranged for her. Despite his lanky appearance, he could take on four strong men by himself.
Derek quickly arrived downstairs at her place.
