Chapter 1357 Matilda
Kamille tried on the dress.
It had delicate, light blue spaghetti straps, and the skirt was adorned with hand-embroidered tulips. The embroidery was done with a lighter shade of thread and embellished with jewels, giving the hem a luxurious yet understated look. As Kamille walked, the flowers seemed to sway. Despite her broad shoulders, the dress fit her perfectly, giving her a pure and slightly fragile appearance. Kamille was thrilled. "Who designed this dress? I need to meet them."
Kamille's assistant immediately started talking to Heather.
Heather responded with a smile.
Natalie said, "The designer has a boutique. After tonight's party, I'll arrange for you to meet her. I'll take you to her store to see more of her gowns. All the embroidery is done by hand, and it takes about a month to complete one dress."
"I love it. I'm wearing this dress tonight." Kamille twirled in front of the mirror, clearly satisfied.
Then Kamille and her assistant went downstairs to finalize the evening's arrangements. Upstairs, Heather let out a sigh of relief. "I was worried Kamille wouldn't like it."
Natalie stood in front of the mirror, glancing at her own dress, which fluttered like light-colored waves. "These socialites are used to wearing high-end brands. Ordinary dresses don't catch their eye. These pieces are perfect—unique embroidery and design. Only Matilda Faye could achieve this."
Since parting ways with U&M, Natalie had been without a fashion endorsement.
Several luxury brands had approached her, but Natalie turned them all down.
She preferred to create her own fashion brand rather than represent someone else's.
Heather had run into an old friend while shopping, who had opened a boutique with a Vistalia style. The store used to be in Radiant Sky Mall, but after Natalie bought the property to turn it into her own entertainment complex, Matilda moved her shop to a nearby alley. The alley was lined with several stores, and the rent was cheap. Matilda continued designing clothes there.
Even the simplest of Matilda's dresses took at least a week to make, and those with extensive embroidery could take about a month.
Her embroidery technique was unmatched, with intricate patterns and heavy detailing. Despite the long wait times, many customers were willing to wait.
She had a niche following.
In the socialite circles, Matilda was highly regarded.
Her dresses were unique and sophisticated, ensuring no one else would be wearing the same outfit.
She excelled at vintage-style gowns.
Heather and Matilda had been friends since middle school, though they weren't in the same class.
Through Heather, Natalie also got to know Matilda.
Matilda was an unusual woman.
When Heather learned that Natalie wanted to create her own fashion brand, she recommended Matilda.
Kamille's birthday party was a grand affair. Although it officially started at 7 PM, by around 5 PM, the driveway was already filled with luxury cars.
The butler was busy directing the parking.
At 7 PM sharp, the party began.
The Crystal Ballroom was the most luxurious hall in the estate, bar none.
A vast crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling.
A $5 million painting adorned the wall.
The decor was all made of crystal and glass.
Kamille, surrounded by socialites, wore a crystal tiara and looked stunning and regal as she smiled.
Midway through the party, she changed into the blue dress Natalie had given her and applied a sophisticated, elegant makeup look. As soon as she stepped out, she captured everyone's attention.
