Chapter 1420 The Whole Story Concerning Avery

Avery's pupils dilated sharply.

She stared at Milo, her teeth chattering loudly.

The guard nearby knew Avery was about to have another episode.

He quickly restrained Avery.

But Avery just kept staring blankly in one direction, as if trapped in endless pain and regret.

Milo rubbed his forehead, not expecting the task Melissa had given him to be so difficult. The Avery in front of him seemed like a madwoman, constantly having episodes, and he couldn't get anything out of her.

He was about to leave when he suddenly heard Avery's voice.

"It's all my fault, it's all my fault. I was wrong. I hurt Natalie. I deserve this. She won't acknowledge me as her mother, won't see me. I deserve it. I brought this on myself."

Milo frowned. "What did you just say? Say it again."

But Avery kept mumbling, "I'm sorry to her, I'm sorry to her. I ruined my daughter, I ruined her. She's right not to acknowledge me. She won't acknowledge me. Won't see me."

The voice recorder kept playing Avery's words.

Melissa frowned slightly. "What do you think Avery means by this?"

Milo said, "Avery has completely lost her mind now. She only reacts when she hears Natalie and Rosalie's names, constantly mumbling about getting revenge on Rosalie while begging for Natalie's forgiveness."

Melissa listened to the recording again.

"What's the relationship between Avery and this Natalie? Why would Avery call Natalie her daughter?"

Milo said, "Could we be misunderstanding? After all, Avery has gone crazy."

Melissa shook her head. "No, it's not that simple!"

Avery ended up in prison because of deliberately causing an accident that nearly harmed Adrian. Now she's calling Natalie her daughter.

Without hesitation, Melissa instructed Milo, "Find out what really happened."

The next day, Milo had the answers.

After reading through the information, Melissa was shocked. "Natalie is actually Avery's daughter? And Alice wasn't her biological daughter? The Cullen family is truly shocking. If Natalie is her daughter, why would she try to run her over with a car?"

She stood up without hesitation and immediately headed back to the Howard Manor.

This wasn't a small matter—she couldn't decide it alone. Walking into the living room, she saw Andrea sitting there. Melissa frowned slightly. Ever since the medical records incident, she hadn't had much fondness for Andrea.

Andrea stood up and looked at Melissa. "Aunt."

Melissa gave a simple, cold "Mm."

She was about to go upstairs when Jeffery came down. "Sir has already gone to bed."

At this hour, Ruben had already retired for the night.

Melissa decided not to disturb him.

Melissa had her own room upstairs. She had just sat down when she heard a knock on the door. Opening it, she saw Andrea standing there.

Andrea looked pitiful. "Aunt, did I do something wrong to upset you? I apologize and hope you won't be angry."

Melissa glanced at her. "Come in."

Andrea walked in.

Melissa sat on the sofa. She didn't ask Andrea to sit, just looked at her. Andrea stood there awkwardly, alone. Melissa couldn't say she particularly liked Andrea, but she didn't really dislike her either—at least she could tolerate her. But Natalie was different. Because Daniel was deeply in love with that woman, and he was her only son—how could she let Daniel be hurt by a woman like Natalie?
