Chapter 1049 Killing at the Wedding
Melissa thanked Jagger, got the car ready in no time, and sped off to the hospital with Daniel.
Seeing Daniel was okay, Ruben finally relaxed. He turned to Natalie, "You alright?"
"Yeah, thanks to Daniel," Natalie replied.
The whole thing was streamed live by the media, causing a huge buzz online.
[Alice is nuts! Trying to kill someone at a wedding?]
[Alice is a total psycho!]
[Alice deserves to rot in hell!]
Adrian held Natalie's hand tight. The wedding had a brief pause because of the chaos. Then the cops showed up and took Alice away. The staff cleaned up, and the wedding went on. Natalie and Adrian headed to the lounge with the police.
The cops asked a few questions and then left.
Adrian hugged Natalie. "It's okay."
Natalie leaned into his arms. "I was so scared. I thought I might lose you."
"You won't, ever." He held her close.
Adrian was scared too, but thank goodness Natalie was safe.
Natalie said, "I want to see Daniel."
"After the wedding, I'll go with you," Adrian said.
"Okay."
At the Cullen Mansion.
Curtis and Avery got the news that Alice had snuck into Blue Moon Lake and tried to kill Natalie.
Avery's coffee cup hit the floor. "What!"
Curtis jumped up. "Renee, what did you say?"
Renee said, "It's true. It's all over the internet. I tried to call Ms. Cullen but couldn't reach her. In the video, Ms. Cullen is charging at Mrs. Howard with a fruit knife. Now the police have taken her away."
Curtis took a step back.
Avery was shaking. "How could this happen? Alice, you idiot!"
Curtis grabbed his phone and called the lawyer.
But the lawyer said Alice would probably be sentenced, and getting her out was nearly impossible.
Avery cried, "Curtis, find a way to save Alice."
"What can I do? It's murder. Alice committed murder!" Curtis yelled.
Renee said, "It seems Mrs. Howard wasn't hurt. Mr. Daniel Howard got injured, but it's not serious."
"Natalie is okay?" Curtis asked.
Avery, trembling, looked at Curtis. "Even now, you're still thinking about Natalie? What about Alice? She's going to prison!"
Avery lost it. She had been trying to fix things with Curtis and be a good wife. Now, looking at Curtis, she went mad. "You're still obsessed with Rosalie! You never cared about me and Alice!"
Curtis was annoyed, "Enough! If Natalie is fine, Alice might get a reduced sentence, maybe even avoid prison. We can spend more money to get her out. I'm doing this for Alice, for God's sake! Avery, you're being unreasonable! I'm really fed up with you!"
"At this point, you're still making a fuss. Look at what Alice did, trying to kill someone at a wedding. Avery, Alice is completely ruined by you! I shouldn't have been with you in the first place. It was a mistake." Curtis felt nothing for Avery anymore. The love, the passion, everything had vanished.
