Kamille was ecstatic. She adored this dress, not just for its design but also for its color scheme.
It was incredible how three layers of nearly the same color could come together so beautifully, and the tulip embroidery was just exquisite.
Rebecca glanced at Kamille, her fingers tensing and then relaxing. "Kamille, your dress is stunning. What brand is it?"
As soon as she asked, all the socialites around them turned to look.
Kamille's dress was the highlight of the evening.
She and Natalie stood out, one radiating nobility and the other elegance.
Many eyes were on Kamille's gown.
Kamille didn't know the brand either. She replied, "It's custom-made. Pretty nice, right? Rebecca, your brand should think about adding some trendy embroidery designs and more variety. I checked out your new spring collection, and honestly, it was pretty underwhelming."
Rebecca's face went pale.
She knew someone of Kamille's status wouldn't hold back.
Forcing a smile, Rebecca said, "That's just the first batch of new designs. More are coming. We've brought in designers from top international brands."
Another socialite chimed in, "Yeah, the new collection is pretty bland. That handbag is so plain. No creativity at all."
The guests at the birthday party were all high-status socialites, and Rebecca wasn't quite on their level. Facing their criticism, she could only grit her teeth and promise to revise the designs to appease them.
Led by Kamille, the socialites showed no interest in Rebecca's brand.
Rebecca had spent a fortune hiring a designer from a top luxury brand to go international.
But the early spring designs failed to impress these socialites.
Rebecca watched as the group of socialites surrounded Kamille, who looked stunning in her light blue tulip gown, exuding beauty and nobility. The dress was the same style as Natalie's.
She glanced at Natalie.
Natalie raised her champagne glass and gave her a slight nod and smile.
Rebecca clenched her fingers, forcing herself to stay calm, and nodded back with her champagne.
Inside, she was in turmoil.
Suddenly, a socialite asked, "Natalie, why aren't you the spokesperson for U&M anymore? I went to their store the other day, and they told me there's a new spokesperson, Wendy."
Natalie smiled lightly, her expression relaxed. "It wasn't a good fit, so we didn't renew the contract."
Rebecca awkwardly added, "Wendy has a significant international presence, but our collaboration with Natalie was also very pleasant."
Just as she finished speaking, Natalie's voice rang out.
"Kamille, this dress comes with a waist belt. I thought your waist was so slender that you didn't need it. The belt is upstairs. Do you want to try it on? It's intricately designed with thousands of embroidered pearls. It's your birthday, and you'd look stunning in it."
"Absolutely." Kamille loved the dress.
She immediately linked arms with Natalie and headed upstairs.
As they walked, Natalie said, "I just remembered, when my agent borrowed the dress, they brought a design sample book. All the designs are original by this designer, each one unique. Even though Kamille and I have the same style, the details are different. Look, Kamille's tulips are in full bloom, while mine are still buds. The waist belt designs are also different."
