Chapter 107 Out of respect for you

Natalie frowned and said, "But now is not the time to ask such questions."

Although she had only briefly met Serena, she found herself drawn to her and quickly said, "Ms. Nicholson, my friend would never steal this young lady's bracelet. Could you please ask Ms. Baker to remember carefully if she might have misplaced it somewhere...""Or maybe someone else took it," Serena nodded solemnly. "Okay, you helped me yesterday, so this time I will help you."

With these words, she turned her attention to Anna and said, "Anna, let's put this matter to rest. It's just a bracelet, isn't it? I'll get you another one."

Anna's brow furrowed in response, her gaze locked onto Serena. She wanted more than just a simple bracelet, but Serena was the granddaughter of the influential Wilson. Anna's mother, Ava Baker, had often encouraged her to foster a relationship with Serena. To oppose Serena now would invite Ava's disapproval upon her return home.

After a moment's hesitation, she spoke with determination, "Since you've mentioned it, Serena, let's put this behind us. However..." Her voice wavered as she glanced at Denise and Melody. "Are you in charge here? After all, I lost my bracelet here, valued at over 60 thousand dollars. Can the Imperial Nightclub still claim to be the Northville Prime Entertainment Complex? This is no trivial matter."

Melody exhaled in relief as the tension in the room dissipated. "Ms. Baker, we will waive all the costs for your visit today. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We hope you can find it in your heart to forgive us!"

Anna felt a sense of satisfaction and respect, particularly as Serena had stepped in to salvage her dignity. She pouted slightly, "Alright, let's leave it at that. But do ensure your staff exercise more caution in the future!"

Natalie's gaze flickered to Susan, subtly gesturing for her to escort Denise away.

Melody turned to Natalie, aware of her connection with Serena, and instructed, "Natalie, you will be serving in this private room tonight."

"Okay."

Once the room had emptied, Anna reached for Serena's hand, her voice soft, "Serena, I did this for you."

Despite her wealth, the loss of a bracelet worth 40 to 60 thousand dollars still stung Anna, particularly because of her fondness for that specific piece.

Grace said, "Forget about the lost bracelet. It's your birthday tonight, so let's focus on celebrating."
