Chapter 496 Here to Take Someone

SUMI Styling Studio was the go-to spot for a bunch of top actresses in the entertainment industry.

At the last film fest, Wendy, who snagged Best Actress, had everyone’s jaws on the floor. Her red dress was a total showstopper, hugging her curves just right, and her makeup? Flawless and on point.

With Wendy’s unique upturned eyes, she was giving off vibes stronger than a supermodel.

The studio had a crew of makeup artists, and the big boss was Bessie Carter, who was also the deputy editor of the high-end mag MIGE and the head honcho of MIGE Jewelry and Beauty Magazine.

Bessie didn’t take on many gigs, but when she did, it was always top-tier.

Her team of makeup artists were pretty famous too. Cherie, one of them, blew up after a red carpet event, racking up 200,000 followers on Facebook in no time. Fans of various celebs were tagging their studios, begging for Cherie’s magic touch.

“Cherie’s tied up right now, so I’m here to do your makeup and hair, Samantha. The shoot’s about to kick off. Close your eyes, and I’ll get started on your eye makeup.”

Samantha wasn’t a big name yet, but she had a serious attitude. She huffed, “I want Cherie to do my makeup. If it’s not Cherie, I’m not doing the shoot.”

The makeup artist was stuck in a tough spot.

Tessa chimed in, “Samantha, Cherie’s in Natalie’s dressing room.”

Samantha’s temper flared. “What? In Natalie’s room?”

She never saw Natalie as competition. She was the lead, while Natalie was stuck playing the supporting lead, barely getting any screen time. How dare Natalie steal her makeup artist? Who did she think she was!

Samantha barked, “Get Cherie over here.”

Tessa rushed over to Natalie’s dressing room to fetch her.

Natalie’s dressing room was right across from Samantha’s.

Inside, Natalie had her eyes shut while Cherie was working on her eyeliner. Natalie rarely wore eyeliner since her eyes were already big and expressive.

“Natalie, your eyes are stunning.” Cherie had done makeup for tons of actresses and seen all kinds of beauties, but Natalie’s eyes were something else. Perfectly shaped, with long, thick lashes, and naturally gorgeous.

Her face looked like it was sculpted by the gods.

Her nose was high and straight, and her profile was super delicate.

Her skin was flawless, no visible pores, no pimples or dark spots. Even her eyebrows were perfectly shaped. The more Cherie looked at her face, the more beautiful it got.

It was the most delicate and exquisite face Cherie had seen in her ten years in the biz.

Heather, standing nearby, laughed. “Natalie’s skin is amazing.”

Cherie smiled. “Totally. For her face, I even have to mix a special foundation and get it custom-made.”

One of Cherie’s assistants asked how Natalie took care of her skin.

Honestly, Natalie didn’t do much skincare daily. She smiled. “Just eat more veggies and fruits, and take some vitamin C.”

There was a knock on the door, sounding kinda urgent and annoyed.

Heather frowned, thinking it was something important. “Come in.”

Then, Tessa pushed the door open.

When Heather saw Tessa, she asked, “What are you doing here?”

Tessa ignored Heather and went straight to Cherie. “Cherie, Samantha’s requesting you to do her makeup.”

She really stressed the word “requesting.”

Heather realized they were here to snatch Cherie away.

She scoffed, “Doesn’t Samantha have her own makeup artist? Cherie’s Natalie’s makeup artist. What’s the deal with this?”
