Chapter 1081 Andrea's Arrival

Even the doctor couldn't figure out why Adrian was still out cold. He just told Natalie to stick around and talk about old times, hoping it might snap him out of it.

After leaving the doctor's office, Natalie wandered over to the window. She stared outside, lost in her thoughts, not even noticing someone had come up behind her. By the time she realized, a warm coat was already draped over her shoulders, chasing away the chill. She turned, startled, to see Daniel.

Daniel looked worried. "It's freezing. Keep this on."

Natalie shook her head.

She tried to give the coat back, but Daniel wouldn't take it. He insisted on putting it back on her shoulders.

Daniel pressed his lips together, looking at Natalie's pale face. She'd lost over ten pounds, making her already slim frame look even more fragile.

"Adrian's still out. You need to take care of yourself. Don't fall apart before he wakes up. We all want him to wake up soon." Daniel firmly placed the coat on Natalie's shoulders, not letting her take it off.

Natalie whispered, "Thank you."

Daniel looked like he wanted to say more, but he held back. As Natalie walked to the hospital room, Daniel leaned against the window and smoked two cigarettes, which Andrea saw.

Andrea and Rachel had come to visit Adrian. Andrea noticed the way Daniel looked at Natalie. She knew that look all too well—full of raw affection and longing, just like how she looked at Adrian.

'I didn't expect that Daniel liked Natalie,' Andrea thought.

She suddenly remembered at Adrian and Natalie's wedding, when Alice tried to assassinate Natalie, it was Daniel who stopped her.

Back then, everyone thought Daniel did it because he was close to Natalie and it was just convenient. They all thanked him, but now, it seemed his actions were fueled by something deeper.

Inside the hospital room, Natalie pushed open the door and saw Andrea sitting by the bedside, while Rachel was in the caregiver's chair.

Seeing Natalie, Rachel stood up. "Natalie."

Natalie walked over. She hadn't worn makeup in ages, her clothes were simple, and her hair was loosely tied up.

Rachel said, "You need to rest. I heard you've been here every day."

Andrea chimed in, "Yeah, Natalie, you should rest. I'll stay here. If Adrian shows any signs of waking up, I'll let you know right away."

Natalie looked at Andrea, noticing her tear-stained eyes. "Andrea, you should rest. You're not in great shape. There are caregivers here, and I'm not tired."

Rachel seemed to think of something and said to Andrea, "Yeah, Andrea, you should rest. I'll stay here with Natalie to watch over Adrian. You're so fragile; you shouldn't be here taking care of Adrian and end up fainting yourself. Besides, Jamie wouldn't agree to you being here."

Andrea, with tears in her eyes, said, "I grew up with Adrian. Now that he's in a coma, I can't rest well."

Rachel couldn't stand Andrea's attitude.

Even though Rachel and Andrea had come together, they weren't really friends.

They'd just run into each other in the elevator on their way to see Adrian, so they ended up coming together.
