Chapter 200 A Two-Minute Passionate Kiss

At 7 PM, the sky over Vachilit hadn't completely darkened yet. The horizon where it met the coastline was tinged with a deep and diffused blue, like a beautiful and mysterious sapphire.

On the beach, there was a long table filled with exquisite delicacies. A barbecue area and a buffet section were on one side.

Gradually, many people sat down at the table, most of whom were guests invited by Adrian for the vacation.

At this moment, they were dressed in luxurious attire, sitting together, chatting and laughing.

Alice picked up a glass of champagne and took a sip. Adrian glanced at her and reminded, "Drink less."

On the side, Sarah teased. "Alice, Mr. Howard is really spoiling you, isn't he?"

Susan chimed in, "Exactly, Alice, we're so envious of you for having such a wonderful fiancé."

With the sea breeze blowing, Alice's cheeks turned red. Seemingly unable to handle the teasing, she shyly glanced at Adrian who patted the back of her hand.

Daniel raised his wrist to check his watch. It was already 7:30. He stood up, and Rachel called out to him, "Daniel, where are you going?"

"I'm going to check on Natalie. Why isn't she here yet?" Daniel replied.

"Just give her a call, Daniel. You just want an excuse to see her," Rachel said.

Daniel handed Rachel a piece of velvet cake. "Just eat your cake."

But he didn't feel guilty about being called out by Rachel. He liked Natalie, and probably everyone in the Howard family knew it.

Rachel ate a piece of cake and chatted with a friend next to her for a while. She rested her chin on her hand, feeling a bit bored. Jamie hadn't come. With mobility issues, he usually didn't like attending such parties.

However, Jamie had agreed to come on this trip with her, which made Rachel happy.

She took out her phone, adjusted the filter, and took a dozen selfies. She picked the one she was most satisfied with and sent it to Jamie. She held her breath, staring at the screen. But after several minutes, there was no reply.

Rachel felt a bit disappointed.

"Let's play a game. Since there are so many of us and we're all friends, let's make it a bit exciting. Here's a deck of cards, and I've put a pair of Ace of Hearts in it. Whoever draws them has to kiss for two minutes. How about that?" someone suggested.

"Wow, that's intense," one commented.

"But exciting," another guest at present added.

"Yeah, it needs to be exciting. A simple barbecue party is so boring. I support it!" They were all young men and women, most of which agreed.

Diana stood up, cleared the table, and took out a special deck of cards from her bag. They gathered around and started drawing cards. Most participated in this game, and a few who found it too intense were also  forced to join in. They were all young and didn't hold back. Soon, all the cards were dealt, leaving one on the table.

"There's one card left," one said.

"Where's Daniel? Let's save it for him," another one added.

"He went to find Natalie."

With one card left, the game couldn't proceed. Someone suggested, "Why don't we just skip this card?"

"What if this card is the Ace of Hearts?" others declined this suggestion.

As they were discussing, a girl suddenly looked up and saw a light blue figure walking over. She immediately shouted, "Hey, someone's coming."

Everyone's eyes turned towards the figure.

As the figure approached, another girl whispered, "She looks a bit like Alice."

"She does, but I prefer her," a guy responded. He glanced at the woman in the blue dress walking over and asked the person next to him, "Who is she? She's so stunning. How come I've never seen her before?"
