Chapter 1313 This Woman Coaxed You a Bit, And You're Already Happy
"Fine, I don't want it. Even if I did, I'd throw it away immediately, okay?" Natalie spoke as if she were coaxing a child, her eyes gentle, her voice soft.
Adrian looked at the smile on Natalie's face,
Adrian couldn't help but smile himself.
'Adrian, how did you become so childish? Natalie coaxed you a bit, and you're already happy.'
Andrea returned to the Lawson Mansion.
"Where's Jamie? Has Jamie come back?" Andrea took off her coat and handed it to Ingrid.
Ingrid took it and placed it on a nearby coat rack. "Mr. Lawson just got back; he's in the study."
Andrea was about to go upstairs.
Ingrid called out to her, "Ms. Lawson, Mr. Lawson doesn't look very well."
Ingrid was just giving a heads-up.
Andrea went upstairs. She originally wanted to knock on the door directly but hesitated and returned to her bedroom instead.
She took a shower and changed into a loose, light pink nightgown. The neckline was a bit loose, and with her hair half-dried, she looked lazy yet sexy.
Andrea knew that tonight, when she went to the Howard Mansion for dinner, Jamie was upset.
Tonight, Jamie didn't come.
Andrea put on a delicate light makeup, looking at her sexy self in the mirror. Only then did she go to knock on Jamie's study door.
The study door wasn't fully closed, just slightly ajar. Andrea held the doorknob, ready to push it open, when she heard Jamie's voice on the phone inside.
"Rachel, you're just as boring as ever! Do you think I'll believe you if you say you've been locked up?"
"Rachel, I thought you went to Suncrest City to avoid me. Turns out, you couldn't hold back for even a few days?"
"Your constant lying really disgusts me!"
Jamie's voice was cold.
Andrea stood at the door, seeing a different side of Jamie.
Jamie would never speak to her in that tone.
Jamie was always gentle with her, even when he was angry, his eyes were filled with tenderness, always for her own good.
But it was different with this Rachel.
At this moment, Andrea's lips curled.
A triumphant smile appeared on her lips.
'Rachel, so what if you're the daughter of the Howard family?'
'The Jamie you like will never like you.'
'The Jamie you like always speaks softly to me.'
'The Jamie you like, you'll never have.'
'Rachel, you have things I don't, but I have things you long for.'
But Andrea lowered her eyes, a dark look in them. All of Jamie's affection for her originally belonged to Rachel.
This must never be discovered by Jamie and Rachel.
With this thought, Andrea pushed the door open and walked in, whining, "Jamie, my hairdryer is broken. Can I use yours?"
Jamie looked up at Andrea, "Use it as you like. Just dry your hair quickly so you don't catch a cold."
Andrea nodded obediently and turned to go to Jamie's bedroom.
Meanwhile, Jamie gripped his phone tightly, seemingly exasperated and impatient, "Rachel, I hope you stop testing my patience!"
"Stop playing these little tricks! If you're in danger, go to the police. I can't help you!"
With that, he hung up directly.
Jamie raised his hand to rub his temples.
