Chapter 336 Have you Decided Yet?
Natalie held the car key, unsure if she should take it. Did Adrian really give it to her? Listening to their conversation, Natalie was a bit surprised.
"Owen, get over here. Adrian's out, and we're waiting on you."
At the card table, four people started a new game.
Adrian sat on the leather sofa, feeling the alcohol hit him hard. His head hurt, and he wanted to close his eyes for a bit. He rubbed his temples.
Suddenly, he smelled rose perfume. Adrian frowned and opened his eyes to see a woman in a white off-shoulder dress sitting next to him, blushing. "Adrian, I'm Christina Phillips. Got a headache? I ordered some lemon water. Want some?"
"No, Ms. Phillips," Adrian said flatly.
Christina bit her lip. She knew Adrian had a fiancée, but she still thought she had a chance. Her friend was Owen's girlfriend, and when she heard Adrian was coming, she tagged along. It took a lot of courage to talk to him.
"Adrian, want some fruit? It might help," Christina offered.
Adrian didn't respond.
Christina admired Adrian's handsome profile. His face looked striking under the crystal light. It was like a perfect sculpture.
The more she looked, the more she liked him, but Adrian ignored her.
Feeling deflated, Christina got up and went back to her friends, occasionally glancing at Adrian with a mix of resentment and longing.
Natalie walked over, gently placed the car key on the table, and was about to leave with the tray when Adrian's voice stopped her.
"I gave it to you. Just take it," he said, eyes still closed.
Startled, Natalie looked at him. How did he hear her put the key down?
"It's too expensive. I don't need it," she said.
"If you don't need it, throw it away," Adrian replied nonchalantly.
After a pause, he added, "Do you know how to massage?" Without waiting for an answer, he continued, "Give me a massage. My head hurts."
Adrian sat on a single sofa with a gap behind it. Natalie, being slender, fit through. She walked behind him and looked at his almost flawless features under the light. She was about to place her hands on his temples but remembered her fingers were cold. She rubbed them together to warm them up before gently placing them down.
She leaned closer, catching a faint scent of alcohol from Adrian, but it wasn't strong.
Natalie's cool fingertips gently massaged Adrian's temples.
Adrian felt his headache ease. There was a faint cherry blossom scent around him, which he liked. It made him feel comfortable.
He suddenly said, "Natalie, what I told you last time still stands."
Natalie's fingers trembled slightly, and Adrian noticed.
