Chapter 1395 Nominated for Best Actress

Natalie slid onto his lap, "Oh, so this is how you do business, huh?"

"For you, I wouldn't charge a dime," the man said, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he held her close. "Whatever you want, it's yours."

"Hmph, men are such liars. Just a few days ago, you were at Isaac's place, talking about teaming up, plotting to trap the East District. Now you're making these families go at each other. I don't believe a word you say," Natalie said, leaning into his embrace.

She smelled faintly of flowers.

Adrian closed his eyes. "Natalie, I'm serious. Anything you want, I'll give you—everything, all of it."

Natalie smiled, "What I want... I want you to be healthy and safe, for everything to go well. I want us to always be happy." She listened to the sound of his heartbeat. "I want everything to go well for you, for us to grow old together."

After Liam left.

Joe frowned slightly and said to Jeffery, "Have them come down."

A few minutes later, Adrian and Natalie came downstairs.

"Adrian, I assume you know why Liam came here. What are your thoughts?"

"No rush, let's wait a bit. Isaac might show up tomorrow." Adrian crossed his legs, looking confident and in control.

Just half an hour ago, Adrian had called Isaac.

He informed him about Liam visiting the Howard family to discuss the pearls.

Though Isaac appeared calm, Adrian knew he was restless.

Whoever can cash in on the pearls first will gain more support.

Redwood Isle may seem small, but it actually spans 30 million square feet, divided into four districts, each with different cities governed by four leaders. Its main economic sources are tourism, seafood, shipping, and pearls.

And pearls are the biggest economic support.

Just as Adrian had predicted.

The next morning, Isaac came to visit.

In the reception room, Joe personally met with Isaac.

They exchanged brief pleasantries; they had collaborated once over a decade ago.

But after that, they hadn't been in contact.

Isaac smiled and explained his purpose.

Adrian also joined them.

Isaac knew Adrian was tough to deal with. He would rather take a slight loss than become enemies with him, as that would only lead to greater difficulties. Plus, he needed to pave the way for Elmer. Unlike Liam, who had the Cross family backing him, Isaac only had the support of the fishermen in the South District. He had to go all in.

Isaac lowered the profit margin by two more points.

He gritted his teeth, "This is my utmost sincerity."

Joe hadn't expected Isaac to lower the margin even further. He nodded and looked at Adrian. The two exchanged glances, and Adrian said, "Alright, let's have a successful collaboration. This will be my second time working with Mr. Roach. I believe our future collaborations will only increase."

"Mr. Roach, why don't you stay a few more days, have a meal, and I'll have the agreement ready by tomorrow."

Isaac nodded, "Sounds good."

Christmas passed quickly, and the festive atmosphere seemed to have calmed down a bit.

Natalie was constantly refining the script for her new film. She and Anouk occasionally discussed the plot.

Heather informed her that her movie, Rising Winds, had been nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Deer Awards.
