Chapter 1003 Rachel's Other Side

Rachel's eyes went wide. "Seriously?"

"Yep," Natalie nodded.

Rachel smirked. "Didn't think you'd be my type." She had a sudden change of heart about Natalie. At first, she thought Natalie was just a pretty face with a sweet personality. "You're not what I expected."

Natalie shot back, "You're not what I expected either."

Rachel slipped on her sunglasses. "You know, I've always been into exciting stuff since I was a kid. But being the youngest daughter of the Howard family, I have to play the elegant socialite. I hate it. When I'm stuck in that role too long, I just wanna break free."

Natalie nodded. "Everyone's got two sides."

Rachel grinned. "Let's hit the shops first. Tonight, I'll show you my favorite spot."

Natalie had Adrian's gold card in her hand, plus her own stash of cash. The profits from the Imperial Nightclub, her acting gigs over the past couple of years, and her investment in a barbecue joint had all added up. It was a sum she couldn't have dreamed of before.

Back in the day, she couldn't even scrape together $300,000 for Rosalie's surgery. Now, that amount seemed like pocket change. A single watch or bag could easily cost that much. But Natalie still wasn't into splurging. Most of her clothes were gifts from brands. Each season, major labels would send her their latest collections.

"How about this one? Does it look good?" Rachel was trying on clothes while Natalie chilled in the lounge area, sipping coffee.

Natalie took a sip. "Why don't you try that light purple dress? I think it would look great."

"Just buy it," Rachel said indifferently.

"This dress is quite pretty. I want one too!" Suddenly, a woman's voice cut through.

Natalie looked up.

Rachel gritted her teeth. "Hannah Nguyen, what are you doing here?"

Hannah smiled, and another woman in a blue dress walked in with her. Rachel's face immediately darkened.

Hannah eyed the purple dress in the sales assistant's hand. "Autumn, this dress is quite nice. I think it would suit you. Wanna try it on?"

Autumn Foster shook her head. "This is Rachel's favorite dress. I don't want it."

Natalie noticed these women seemed to know Rachel, but Rachel's expression was telling they were more than acquaintances.

Rachel snorted and told the sales assistant, "I'll take it."

Hannah was annoyed. "You haven't paid for it yet. Why can't I take it? I think this purple dress suits Autumn. I'll take it." She handed over her card.

Rachel walked over. "Hannah, what's your deal?"

"What else? I'm buying clothes. Is this your store?" Hannah ranted.

Rachel said indignantly, "You're doing this on purpose."

Natalie got to her feet, strode over and handed her card to the sales assistant to buy the dress.

The sales assistant looked a bit troubled but acknowledged that Natalie and Rachel had come first.

Seeing this, Hannah said, "I'll pay double."

Rachel was about to argue, but Natalie held her hand. "Miss, please mind your manners."

Hannah finally looked at Natalie. "What does this have to do with you? Do I need your permission to buy clothes? Who do you think you are? Just another one of those socialites sucking up to Rachel? I can't stand people like you."
