Chapter 1001 Quite Romantic
Natalie decided to whip up some pasta.
She got the water boiling and tossed in the pasta just as she heard a knock at the door.
Lucky reacted quickly and dashed to the door.
Natalie quickly washed her hands and headed out.
Through the iron door, she saw Rachel standing outside. She walked over and opened it.
Rachel's eyes went wide when she saw Natalie. "You're Natalie?"
"Yep, that's me."
Rachel was Adrian's sister. Natalie smiled and said, "Adrian's not here right now. Need something? Come on in."
Rachel gave Natalie a once-over. "So, you and Adrian actually got hitched."
Rachel loved traveling and had been off exploring for a while. She was thrilled when she heard Adrian had broken off his engagement with Alice. She had just gotten back from a trip when she found out Adrian and Natalie had tied the knot, which totally blew her mind.
Natalie smiled, "Yep, we did."
Hearing the water boiling, Natalie quickly turned off the stove. She looked at Rachel, "Have you eaten?"
Rachel nodded, then shook her head. She was on a diet and had only nibbled a bit for lunch. Now, with the smell of food in the air, her stomach growled.
Natalie had made a lot of pasta. She served up two bowls and set them on the table, then picked up her phone, saying, "Rachel's here. We'll talk later."
Adrian replied, "Okay."
Hearing Adrian's voice, Rachel said, "Adrian?"
Natalie said, "Yeah, he's on a video call with me while I cook."
Rachel was a bit taken aback. "Didn't think Adrian was such a romantic, watching you cook on a video call."
Natalie handed her some utensils. "So, what brings you here?"
Rachel took a bite of the pasta and was surprised at how good it was. She coughed and looked at Natalie, saying with a bit of sass, "I've been traveling and just got back. As soon as I got home, I heard you and Adrian got married. So, you're my sister-in-law now. We've met before, but we're not that close. I'm surprised you married Adrian. Just because he likes you doesn't mean I have to! If you want my approval, it's gonna be tough."
Natalie smiled, "So, what do I need to do to get your approval?"
She knew Rachel wasn't a bad person, just a bit of an arrogant princess with a lively and charming personality.
Rachel lifted her chin slightly, "This afternoon, you have to go shopping with me."
Natalie thought for a moment and agreed. "Okay."
Lucky ran over, the bell on its collar jingling.
Rachel loved dogs, especially big ones like Lucky. After a few bites of pasta, she hugged Lucky. "How about I find you a pretty girlfriend?"
Lucky wagged its tail.
"Looks like you're up for it. I think Chloe's dog would be a good match. I'll take you over to meet her." Rachel said.
Natalie looked at Rachel and thought she was a naive and lively person. After finishing her pasta, Natalie sent Adrian a message saying she couldn't make it this afternoon because she was going shopping with Rachel.
