Chapter 538 Conspiracy

Heather had been trying to get ahold of Natalie, but no luck. She called, but Natalie ghosted her. Frustrated, she stomped her foot and flagged down a cab to head over to Natalie's place.

On the way, Heather hit up Mindy, saying, "Mindy, I found this sketchy Facebook account claiming they're gonna spill some dirt on Natalie at 10 AM today. They even posted a few teaser pics."

From the looks of it, the person in the photos did resemble Natalie. However, it could just be someone who looked a lot like her.

Mindy was quick on the draw and got someone on it right away.

Whoever posted this was clearly fishing for cash, given they mentioned a specific time.

No matter the cost, whether it was Natalie in those pics or not, they had to squash this ASAP. Online drama has a way of twisting things, making the good look bad and the bad look worse.

Heather said, "I'm heading to Natalie's now, should be there in ten."

In less than ten minutes, Heather rolled up to Celestial Garden.

The place had tight security; if your car wasn't registered, you weren't getting in. Heather hopped out and bolted to Natalie's door.

Natalie opened up, looking puzzled. "Heather, what are you doing here?"

Heather, still catching her breath from her sprint, saw the urgency in Heather's eyes. Natalie stepped aside. "Sorry, my phone died."

Heather whipped out her phone and showed Natalie the Facebook account causing all the drama. The post had blown up, with over ten thousand comments and 30,000 shares.

For such a small account to get that much traction on Facebook, it was a big deal.

Natalie glanced at the pics and seemed to get the gist. She asked, "Have you figured out who owns this account?"

Heather replied, "We're on it. The account was just made 50 minutes ago."

Natalie, unfazed by the pics, took a couple of bites of her food and said, "No bother."

Natalie told Heather, "You must be exhausted from rushing over. Take a breather."

Heather plopped down across from Natalie. Sensing Heather's doubts, Natalie said, "The person in those pics isn't me. Don't sweat it."

Heather let out a huge sigh of relief.

"If I'm right, this account is probably run by someone from Alice's camp," Natalie said. "Those pics are of Alice."

Heather was shocked. "That's so cheap! Just last week, Mrs. Cullen came to threaten you to clear Alice's name. Now that Alice's rep is on the mend, they're dragging you through the mud. These people are the worst!"

Natalie walked into the living room.

Her voice was calm, almost emotionless, but her fingers were clenched, and a slight, mocking smile played on her lips. "Heather, you must be dying to know about my history with the Cullen family."

Heather was curious, but she wouldn't pry unless Natalie wanted to spill.

She trusted Natalie completely.

No matter what Natalie's past was, she only cared about the Natalie she knew now.
