Diana thought Alice was way too impulsive and reckless. "Alice, why'd you have to go and pick a fight with Sandra?"
After the whole mess, Alice didn't gain anything. Instead, everyone online knew about her miscarriage and that she fought in public.
Even Diana wouldn't stoop to fighting someone in public and cussing them out.
As Alice's friend, Diana felt all eyes on her, making her blush with embarrassment, so she slipped out to the hallway.
But Alice wasn't listening to Diana's concern; she was still fuming. "So what if I did? Diana, are you siding with Sandra now? Did you tell her about my miscarriage?"
Diana felt hurt hearing that. She didn't even know about Alice's miscarriage. Even though she was friends with both Sandra and Alice, she hadn't taken sides.
"Alice, how could you think that of me? I had no idea about your miscarriage. When I visited you in the hospital, I thought you were just sick. You didn't tell me anything. I just think fighting with Sandra here does no good. Offending Rebecca won't help, and there are so many media outlets around." Diana explained indignantly.
At that moment, Alice seemed to snap out of it.
There were so many media outlets. Now, her miscarriage was all over the internet. Her carefully maintained image was shattered. Panic set in. 'What will the Howard family think of me if they find out? Will they really call off the engagement? No! That can't happen!'
Diana hung up the phone and sighed, leaning against a window.
Her eyes landed on a painting in the hallway.
The painting looked super expensive, with a frame inlaid with gems.
Diana pulled out her phone to take a selfie. She couldn't leave Blue Moon Lake without doing something memorable.
As a minor internet celebrity, she had accounts on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, with over a million followers combined, and made a decent income from ads.
Diana often shared her bags, cosmetics, luxury items, and beautiful photos on these platforms.
She quickly snapped a photo and posted it online with a pretentious caption.
She reached out to touch the diamonds in the frame, thinking, 'What a splendid place! Even a picture frame is inlaid with gems. The owner of this estate must be living the dream. If I could spend just one night here, it would be beyond my wildest dreams. Probably only top international socialites like Kamille can own such an estate.'
Because of Alice's drama, Diana felt too embarrassed to go anywhere crowded, so she wandered around the second-floor lounge.
Suddenly, a vicious thought dawned on her.
Earlier, Alice had told her to embarrass Natalie. Diana had bribed a waitress to spill champagne on Natalie's dress. An expensive dress like that would need compensation if it got dirty. Luxury brands wouldn't like their loaned dresses getting stained. This would damage Natalie's relationship with the brand. Plus, with millions watching the live stream, seeing Natalie embarrassed would be quite the show.
