Chapter 1162 What Are You Nervous About?
That night, Adrian didn't sleep.
The next morning, Natalie woke up with a splitting headache.
She weakly propped herself up on her arms and rubbed her temples.
Did she really drink that much last night?
Her head felt like it was going to explode.
Natalie touched her neck and moved around a bit.
Once her vision cleared, she realized this wasn't her bedroom.
She lifted the blanket and looked at the smoky gray sheets, which were completely different from her light pink ones. Where was she?
The familiar scent enveloped her.
Adrian. This was Adrian's bedroom.
How did she get drunk and end up in Adrian's bedroom?
Natalie turned her head and stared wide-eyed at the sleeping Adrian beside her, completely stunned.
After confirming he was still asleep, Natalie relaxed and took a deep breath.
Looking at Adrian's sleeping face, a face she knew so well, without the usual cold and distant expression, Natalie couldn't help but linger and take a few more greedy glances.
She feared that once Adrian woke up, he would revert to his usual icy demeanor.
She suddenly remembered something. Adrian had clearly said she wasn't allowed on the third floor. She had no idea what had happened last night.
Turning her head, Natalie saw her phone on the nightstand, along with her handbag.
She picked up her phone, focused on Adrian's face, and took a photo.
She didn't expect the sound of the camera shutter to be so loud in the silent bedroom.
At that moment, Adrian opened his eyes.
His pupils were a bit hazy, but after a few seconds, his vision cleared.
Natalie stared wide-eyed, embarrassed that she had been caught taking a sneaky photo!
And she had been caught red-handed!
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
Natalie put away her phone and quickly got out of bed. "I, I drank too much last night. I'm sorry."
Adrian sat up, the blanket slipping off him to reveal his toned abs and V-line.
He looked at Natalie. "You do realize you drank too much last night."
Adrian had slept very late and couldn't fall asleep.
He was in a light sleep the whole time.
He woke up at the sound of Natalie turning over.
And this woman, Natalie, seemed gentle but was actually quite restless.
The blanket had slipped off several times during the night.
Adrian pressed his hand to his brow, lifted the blanket, got out of bed, and walked over to Natalie.
Natalie instinctively took a step back. He was so close that his prominent nose almost touched her.
They were less than two inches apart, and she could feel his breath on her face as he spoke.
"You drank too much last night, came home, and caused a scene. Violette couldn't carry you, so I had to bring you up here. You clung to me and wouldn't let go, shouting and trying to crawl on the floor like a puddle of mud."
Natalie's face turned beet red.
With every word Adrian said, she felt more and more embarrassed.
"I, I'm sorry. I drank too much. I promise it won't happen again."
"Natalie, you are my wife. Even if I don't remember you right now, you are still my wife, the one I, Adrian, married. From now on, unless you're filming, if you come home after 10 PM, you need to notify me and Violette in advance! The same goes for me."
Natalie pressed her lips together. "Okay."
Adrian lowered his head slightly.
Natalie's eyelashes fluttered as she held her breath.
Adrian lifted his face and gave a roguish smile. "Are you nervous?"
