Chapter 323 I Came Here for Him

The next morning at 10 AM, sunlight streamed into the booth.

Natalie woke up with a sore neck and aching arms, feeling stiff from staying in the same position all night. She looked around, confused. "Am I in a booth? Did I not go home?"

As she got up, Susan, who had been sleeping on her shoulder, also woke up.

Susan's eyes were swollen, but she recognized Natalie. They exchanged a smile, remembering how they had booked a booth and drank straight from the bottle last night.

Susan rubbed her head. "You paid last night, right? An overnight booth at Imperial Nightclub isn't cheap."

Natalie raised an eyebrow and smiled. "I did it to keep you company."

Susan rubbed her neck. "Natalie, you make more than I do."

Natalie stretched her stiff shoulders. "Alright, considering how much you cried last night, I treated."

They tidied up the booth. They had finished six bottles. Susan rubbed her aching head. "No wonder my head hurts."

Natalie said, "Go home and rest."

"Rest? I still have to go shopping this afternoon. I asked Vivian to cover my shift last night and promised to buy her a necklace. Two thousand dollars and I didn't even get a good look at that guy!" Susan lowered her eyes. "I wonder when Simon will come here again."

Natalie asked, "Are you sure it was him?"

Susan sighed. "I didn't see his face, but I'm sure. Only he has that kind of presence. I can recognize Simon just by his silhouette."

Natalie suggested, "Let's find Melody later and ask about this mysterious boss."

Just then, Melody's voice came from the doorway.

"No need to wait, I'm here." Melody, in a black lace dress with a dark green trench coat, walked in on high heels and glanced around. "You two really went all out, drinking all night."

Natalie smiled. "It's also to boost your sales."

Melody sat on the sofa and smiled. "Not bad. You booked a booth managed by us. You spent 800 dollars, and you can earn a 16-dollar commission yourself. So, you actually spent 784 dollars. Smart move."

Susan said, "Melody, shouldn't we get a 20% employee discount?"

Melody replied, "Ladies, how about I treat you instead?"

Natalie and Susan exchanged a glance. "Thank you, then."

Melody waved her hand. "Alright, you two go home and rest. You still have to work tonight."

Natalie patted Susan's hand, signaling that since Melody was here, she might as well ask her. Susan nodded, and Natalie left the booth.

Susan looked at Melody. "Melody, have you ever seen the big boss here?"

Melody looked at her. "Susan, people with less curiosity tend to live longer."

Susan knew that well. "Last night, I saw him in the underground parking lot."

Melody stood up. "Susan, how dare you try to corner the boss in the parking lot? Do you even want this job? Do you know how deep and complicated his background is? If you cross him, you won't be able to handle the fallout."

Susan said, "Melody, to be honest, I came here for him."
