Chapter 1257 She Is Willing to Follow in His Footsteps

The waiter came over again and placed the grilled fish on the table, warning that it was very hot and advising the guests to be careful.

However, Natalie was on the phone and didn't notice.

Adrian raised his hand to his forehead, thinking he just wanted to have a meal alone with Natalie. "She's so annoying."

Rachel overheard, "What? I'm annoying? Adrian! How could you say I'm annoying!"

At that moment, Rachel looked like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

Natalie handed her phone to Adrian.

The grilled fish was steaming hot, and as the steam rose, it slightly burned Natalie's wrist, causing her to let out a small gasp.

Adrian took the phone, "Is your hand okay?"

Natalie shook her head, signaling Adrian to take the call.

Adrian said, "You're interrupting my meal with Natalie. Do you think you're annoying?"

Although Adrian's voice carried a hint of coldness, it also had a gentle, familial warmth, almost like he was joking.

Rachel replied, "Alright, I'm interrupting you! Adrian, you're something else this time. You just got back and went straight to see Natalie. I thought you didn't want to deal with us."

"I can ignore you."

"Adrian!"

"Alright, have you eaten?" Adrian smiled, "I'll bring you some good food later. Claire also asked me to bring you some homemade snacks."

"That's more like it."

Adrian handed the phone back to Natalie. Natalie took it, "Rachel."

"Natalie, you and Adrian enjoy your meal. I'm not in a hurry. If I get hungry, I'll just eat some bread. You don't have to come back early. Have fun."

With that, she hung up.

"Natalie."

"What's up?"

"Have we ever been to Suncrest City before?"

Natalie shook her head, "No, we've been to York City. I was filming there, and you came to visit. We've also been to many other places."

"Do you have those photos?" Adrian had recently found an album on the computer at home, filled with pictures of him and Natalie in various places.

"Some of them, and some are on the computer."

"I saw them," Adrian said. "I saw a different version of myself from before."

The steam from the grilled fish blurred Adrian's outline. His eyes seemed to hold the entire universe, and Natalie felt like a star within it.

She asked, "Have you remembered anything from before?"

"No, but I think I must have really liked you."

Natalie's eyes widened.

Adrian opened the notes app on his phone. Over the past few days, he had discovered that besides the schedule notes, there was another note marked as very important.

Upon opening it, he found it was filled with details about Natalie.

What she liked to eat, what she didn't like.

Her favorite colors, her favorite flowers.

Even her favorite clothing brands and styles.

Her favorite celebrities, movies, music, and books.

Adrian was stunned.

He had never thought he would meticulously record so many details about a woman.

He must have really, really liked her to record her preferences so diligently.

Natalie's nose tingled with emotion, "I believe you'll remember everything eventually. I really like you, and you really like me too. When we fell into the lake together, you said in that moment that this life is too short, and it would be great if we could meet in the next life."

She felt like crying.

Natalie wasn't usually someone who showed her emotions, but at this moment, she couldn't hold back.
