Chapter 524 Things from the Past
Karen was seriously kicking herself for teaming up with Alice. Alice was a total nightmare—disobedient, unprofessional, and just plain bad at her job. Mindy was probably rolling on the floor laughing right now.
Even though Natalie had once been outed as a maid, the internet was all about her hustle. People were actually cheering her on for working her way up.
Most of the comments were all about how gorgeous and sweet Natalie was.
The ops team was freaking out, "Karen, we can't control the public opinion anymore."
Karen's phone was blowing up. It was Alice, and she knew Alice would be losing her mind. Alice was so trashy. If she wasn't set to marry into the Howard family, Karen wouldn't give her the time of day. She picked up the call and put it on speaker. Sure enough, Alice was screaming at her to fix things ASAP or she'd get Karen fired from Dynamic Entertainment Media.
Karen just rolled her eyes. After hanging up, she said, "Let it ride."
The ops team stared at her.
Karen shrugged, "The hate's all on her. Not our problem. She was the one who went nuts on Facebook, bought trending spots, deleted comments, and cursed out influencer accounts."
The ops team nodded. They were so over Alice's drama.
Natalie had just finished lunch and was scrolling through the trending news. She couldn't believe how wild things had gotten.
Heather, sitting next to her, cursed, "What's Alice deal? She's lost it! Totally bonkers."
Meanwhile, Mindy, being the pro agent she was, got in touch with Natalie's school and found the vice principal. Mindy had mad connections, and the vice principal was an old buddy. After a quick chat, Mindy grinned. "Dinner's on me later."
The vice principal was chill, "No biggie."
Ardentia University's official account posted: [Natalie graduated from Vachilit Ardentia University last July. She was a top student and got multiple scholarships.]
Mindy then hopped on Natalie's studio's Facebook, shared the post, and added a comment as Natalie: [I once worked for the Cullen family. Thanks to the school for supporting me.]
In just two lines, Mindy cleared up everything.
Natalie didn't deny working as a maid for the Cullen family.
She graduated from Ardentia University's design department.
Instantly, the comments blew up.
[Natalie is way cooler than Alice. She worked hard for her education. Alice is just bitter and jealous!]
