Chapter 293 Recovering the Diamond Pendant
Bella walked in. "What are you looking for? Need help? Did you lose something?"
Natalie sighed. "Yeah, I lost a diamond pendant. Thought it was a gift from you, so I always wore it. Now I can't find it anywhere."
Bella asked, "A diamond pendant? What style, which brand? Do you like it? If you really like it, you can buy another one. If it's unique, I'll have the factory make an identical one for you."
But Natalie had no idea who gave her the pendant or how it ended up in her house.
She shook her head. "Forget it, it's not important. Let's go out for dinner."
That night, Natalie lay in bed but couldn't sleep.
She got up, opened her suitcase, and searched again, but still couldn't find it.
It was like the pendant had vanished into thin air.
Suddenly, Alice's face flashed in her mind!
Especially the last time Alice impersonated her, went to Blue Mountain Community, got the spare key from the property management, broke in, and took the diamond pendant Rosalie had left for her, claiming it was a token from Adrian.
Recalling this, Natalie found it strange. A token? Adrian?
Her eyes widened.
Could that pendant have been from Adrian?
The first time they were in the hotel, it must be that!
Adrian always acted like he didn't care about her. He couldn't have given her anything. The only time was their first meeting in the hotel when she said she was Alice. It must have been then.
But how did the pendant suddenly disappear?
It couldn't be with Alice. Alice must have just found out about the pendant but couldn't tell which one it was, so she broke into Natalie's house, thinking the pendant Rosalie gave her was the one from Adrian and took it.
Everything clicked into place.
Judging by Alice's attitude, this pendant must be very important.
Otherwise, Alice wouldn't have impersonated her and tricked the property management into giving her the key.
So, where was that pendant now?
Natalie lay in bed, trying to remember the last time she saw it.
It should have been when Natalie, as 'Alice,' saw Adrian off to go abroad to the Howard Group headquarters.
Where did she put it afterward?
She rarely wore such pendants unless it matched her outfit or for an event.
So, the pendant should still be in the backyard of the Cullen family.
The next morning, Natalie went back to the backyard of the Cullen family.
The gate lock was open, probably because Renee and Alice had been there. She pushed the door open and walked in.
Everything in the yard was unchanged. She pushed open the main house door, and the old furniture was still there. She quickly scanned the surroundings.
Entering her bedroom, Natalie began to search meticulously.
Since she rarely went out with that pendant, it was unlikely she lost it outside.
Maybe it was in some corner of the house.
She searched under the bed, the sofa, and the cabinets. She even opened the washing machine and looked around the drum, but found nothing.
Suddenly, she felt something hard under her foot.
Natalie's pupils trembled. She looked down and lifted the rug beside the coffee table. There was a round diamond pendant. She immediately bent down to pick it up, rubbing it with her fingers. It had a circle of intricate patterns.
So, it was here all along!
