Chapter 163 Who is the Biological Mother
"I went to see Rosalie last week, and she was fine, but this time when I went to see her, she had a severe rejection reaction. Before she passed out, she said to wait for you at the cemetery. Maybe if you go there a few more times, you'll meet her."
"She actually remembered me." Tears welled up in Jerry's eyes, and then he clenched his fists. "It must be Avery. She did it on purpose!"
Jerry was somewhat angry. "Ms. Teeger, tell me in detail about Rosalie's condition. Which mental hospital is she in? I'll find a way to get her out. I'm sure Avery used this method deliberately to threaten you, to make you obedient to her. Ms. Teeger, don't be afraid. I will help you even if it costs me my life."
Natalie returned home, but she couldn't calm down for a long time.
She never expected that the truth of Stanley and Ryan's death would be something entirely different from what she knew her whole life.
And Curtis?
In her heart, there was always the somewhat timid but gentle and kind Mr. Cullen.
He actually knew the truth.
So, how could he continue to live in peace?
Her father and brother had died for him.
Natalie never expected that the truth would be like this, no wonder she heard the Cullen family's servants discussing it privately at the time.
She had regarded Curtis as a kind and gentle uncle all the time.
Natalie never thought that this uncle was the reason she had lost her father and brother.
Natalie still had one thing to confirm with Rosalie: why their DNA didn't match and who her biological mother was.
But Rosalie was unconscious now, and she was still under Avery's control. With the many mysteries entangled in Natalie's heart, she got up.
It was 9 p.m. now.
The Cullen family's living room was lit up.
The servants were preparing tomorrow's meals in the kitchen. Natalie went upstairs, she knew that at this time, Curtis was still in the study room.
Natalie hesitated for a moment, then knocked on the door.
"Come in."
Curtis looked up and smiled when he saw her. "Natalie, aren't you resting yet?"
"Mr. Cullen, you're not resting either?"
Natalie walked in and looked at Curtis with a complicated look.
Curtis smiled. "There's too much work. I only have one daughter, Alice, who is not interested in the company's affairs, so I'll work hard for a few more years while I'm still young."
He gestured for Natalie to sit on the sofa and asked with concern, "Natalie, Avery said you're working at the Imperial Nightclub now. Didn't you ask me to help you erase your truancy record at school before? Why did you suddenly stop going to school?"
Natalie felt he was being hypocritical. Originally, she would have believed that it was just Avery and Alice's idea, and Curtis was unaware. But now, after knowing the truth, she suddenly doubted his intentions.
However, Natalie didn't reveal her inner thoughts on her face. She said, "I've delayed my graduation for a year. I sought work to earn some money so my mom wouldn't have to work so hard."
She suddenly looked like she thought of something, and with her eyes widening in plea, she said, "Mr. Cullen, even if I don't manage to graduate in the end, can I work at the Cullen Group?"
Curtis smiled. "Yes, even if you can't graduate in the end, you can still work at our company. This way, your life can be guaranteed, and when you marry Dr. Kamel, you can also live happily."
Natalie's smile froze. "I broke up with Dr. Kamel."
"Why? Weren't you fine a few days ago?" Curtis frowned. "Natalie, Dr. Kamel is a good person. I can see that he treats you well."
"It's fine now, but will it always be fine in the future?" Natalie looked at Curtis with doubt.
Curtis sat across from Natalie in silence.
