Chapter 951 Resources Stolen

Nicholas made sure Cassidy's spy outside could hear every word he said.

And honestly, his words were spot on.

Natalie bit her lip, "Mr. Reynolds, you're shameless. You guys made the first move."

"Ms. Teeger, I do admire you and even thought about recruiting you. But you're always going on about Bella being missing and accusing me of taking her. Got any proof?"

"Yes, Bella called me."

"You say she is missing, yet she contacted you. Ms. Teeger, you just contradicted yourself."

Taken aback, Natalie didn't expect this seemingly laid-back Nicholas to be so cunning.

Nicholas grinned, "Ms. Teeger, I don't have time for your games. If Bella's missing, call the cops."

Natalie narrowed her eyes. She knew Nicholas was bluffing and that Bella was actually locked up by him. But why he did it, she couldn't figure out.

Nicholas, who seemed carefree and scandal-ridden, had the same intimidating vibe as Adrian.

After Natalie left, Nicholas's eyes turned cold.

Natalie had a flight to York City at 6 PM.

Before leaving, she met with Milan, asking him to dig into Bella's situation.

Milan had a lot of connections and tricks up his sleeve. Even if Nicholas tried to hide it, he wouldn't be able to for long.

Milan agreed right away and promised Natalie she'd have answers within a week.

That night, Natalie flew back to York City.

The movie "Yesterday's Mist" was in full swing. Heather had also returned from Vachilit to be with Natalie. They had a fashion event to attend on Saturday night, conveniently in York City, saving them a lot of travel time. After filming in the morning and grabbing lunch, they headed to the venue.

This fashion event was hosted by a top domestic magazine.

The red carpet was set for the evening. Right now, Natalie was in the dressing room getting her makeup done, prepping for an interview later. Heather was next to her, checking the schedule, "The red carpet's around 7 PM. After your makeup, there's an interview, some photos, and two short videos. You've got two outfits tonight, one from U&M and another from a local designer with a traditional style."

Natalie nodded.

Heather added, "We'll probably hit the red carpet midway through. I heard Wendy's closing the event."

Natalie closed her eyes as the makeup artist worked on her eye makeup, "She's the Best Actress, so it's normal for her to close."

Heather said, "Ever since you endorsed U&M, Wendy's been keeping an eye on you. She even snagged a shampoo endorsement from us that we were negotiating for a while."

Snatching deals wasn't exactly classy.

Natalie just shrugged, "Let it be."

She really didn't care much about these things.

The makeup artist, who had worked with Natalie for a long time and also did makeup for other artists, got along well with her. Makeup artists often knew some industry secrets, and she had a past conflict with Wendy because Wendy had canceled on her. "Natalie, you might think Wendy's a good person, but she doesn't feel the same about you. She's bought a lot of negative press about you, spreading rumors that you stole her endorsement."
