Chapter 278 Blue Roses

After taking Alice home, Adrian's face darkened.

He turned to Brice. "Keep an eye on her. Take her for a check-up tomorrow."

Brice nodded. "Got it."

Adrian added, "You go personally and stay close."

Brice got serious. "Understood, Mr. Howard."

Brice then asked, "Are we heading back to Bayview Villa now?"

Adrian lit a cigarette, took a puff, and exhaled slowly, his face obscured by smoke. "Get out of the car."

Brice stepped out, and Adrian drove off.

Holding his flowers, Brice called Helen, "Hey, babe, are you busy? I'll come see you."

Natalie got off work early today. The private room she managed hosted a gathering of wealthy folks who left by 10:30 PM. She finalized the drink orders and had Megan Smith, the cleaner, come in. Natalie stayed to help Megan clean up.

"Natalie, I'll handle it. Go change and head out. You got off early today."

Natalie worked under a private room system, with fixed rooms each week and two waiters per room. They switched rooms weekly. Once the guests left and the drink orders were finalized, they could leave. But if guests stayed overnight, they had to stay too.

"Megan, let me help you." Natalie found a bracelet on the floor and asked Megan to hand it to the front desk.

She then went to change and said goodbye to Susan and Denise in the group chat, "I'm heading out now. Done for the day."

It took about half an hour by taxi. Though mindful of the fare, Natalie took a cab to get back early to be with Rosalie. When she arrived at Blue Mountain Community, she saw a message from Rosalie sent five minutes ago, asking when she'd be back. She called Rosalie, "Mom, you're still up?"

"Yeah, waiting for you."

"Mom, I told you not to wait up. My hours are unpredictable."

"I can't sleep anyway, so I thought I'd wait."

"Okay, I'm at the gate now. Be up soon."

At the security office, the guard said, "There's a gift box here. A man delivered it."

Natalie took it. A man?

She opened it and found a bouquet of blue roses inside.

Not far away, a black car was parked under a tree. The window rolled down, revealing Adrian's face. He watched Natalie open the gift box.

'Do all women like flowers?' Adrian wanted to see a different emotion on Natalie's face, but besides surprise, there was none.

On a whim, he had asked Brice to buy the flowers.

The more he tried to forget Natalie, the more he couldn't.

This strange feeling lingered in his heart.

Natalie looked at the card, but there was no signature. Who sent it? Daniel? Or someone else?

If it were Daniel, he would have sent a message. He wasn't the type to send something secretly. If he wanted to send flowers, he'd definitely say, "I have a surprise for you."

She took the flowers and walked a few steps. Passing a trash can, she threw the roses in.

Not far away, Adrian's face changed!

Didn't Brice say all women like flowers?

Natalie dared to throw away something he sent her?

How dare she!
