Chapter 176 Natalie Arrives at the Howard Family Residence
Rachel glanced at Alice as she spoke. She had never liked Alice, especially since Alice dared to lie to her. Even though she and Jamie were already together, Jamie's attitude towards her remained indifferent.
She was a girl, she couldn't possibly confirm their relationship! It was too embarrassing!!
Rachel looked at Alice and felt that Alice was acting strangely today, a bit quieter than usual. Whenever Alice saw her, she would try to please her. "Alice, why are you wearing sunglasses? That's so rude!"
Claire also found it strange that 'Alice' had been wearing sunglasses since she entered.
Natalie sipped her coffee quietly and said, "My eyes are a bit inflamed."
Claire asked, "Have you seen a doctor?"
"Yes, and I got some eye drops."
Claire reminded her, "You're pregnant, so you can't just take any anti-inflammatory drugs."
"Okay, I'll be careful." Natalie obediently nodded.
Rachel couldn't be bothered with her and just pulled Claire away.
Natalie sat alone in the living room. The maid brought in some coffee and snacks. Natalie picked up a photo album and flipped through it again. When she saw the picture of Adrian in a pink dress at the age of two, she couldn't help but smile and took a photo of it with her phone.
There was still some time before dinner.
Feeling bored, Natalie decided to take a walk in the garden.
The Howard family truly lived up to its reputation as the most prominent noble family in Vachilit. Every aspect of the scenery was meticulously designed, from the garden to the pond to the woods. As Natalie walked forward, she suddenly heard a sound.
Natalie stopped in her tracks.
She turned around and unexpectedly, she could witness a free show here for the second time. If she wasn't mistaken, the man was Carlos Duncan, the son of the Howard family's butler, Paul Duncan.
His peculiar hobby of making love in the woods was quite unique.
Natalie turned and walked in the opposite direction.
After a few steps, she suddenly heard footsteps behind her.
A force grabbed Natalie's arm, making her feel a strange presence approaching. Carlos hugged her waist, a bit flustered. "Alice, it's not what you see, let me explain, are you angry?"
Natalie pulled her arm away, looking at Carlos in shock.
She suddenly found it amusing that Alice had an ambiguous relationship with Carlos.
Carlos's gaze changed in an instant.
"You're not Alice?"
Carlos's gaze sharpened. "You're Natalie!!"
Only Natalie could look so much like Alice! He didn't expect her to be Natalie, and he thought to himself, ‘This is bad.’
Wasn't Alice already recovered? Why did she let Natalie come as her substitute again?
"I'm sorry to interrupt your good time." Natalie said, glancing behind him.
Carlos was not afraid at all and quickly calmed down. "Ms. Teeger, sorry for disturbing you, I mistook you for someone else, I'm really sorry."
After Natalie left, Carlos began to feel that something was wrong.
He immediately called Alice.
"Where are you?" he asked.
"I'm at home," Alice replied.
"At home? Do you know that Natalie is here at the Howard family residence?"
Alice's panicked voice came through the phone, "What???"
