Chapter 273 Traylor's Surveillance
"Natalie, do you know Dr. Kamel?" Rosalie asked.
"Not really," Natalie replied.
Rosalie had no idea Natalie and Jagger used to date.
Nataliehelped Rosalie into the elevator and continued saying, "I used to come here a lot, so I got to know the staff."
"Natalie, when are you bringing a boyfriend home? I want to meet him."
"It's too soon." Natalie clung to Rosalie's arm playfully. "I'm only 21, no rush."
"No rush? You'll be 22 when you graduate, and after a couple of years working, you'll need to think about having kids."
Natalie dodged the topic and took Rosalie for some tests. The results wouldn't be ready until the afternoon.
She first took Rosalie to Blue Mountain Community.
Rosalie looked around. "Natalie, why did you move here? It's pricey, right?"
"Mom, I didn't want to stay in that tiny house behind the Cullen family anymore." Natalie frowned. "It was so dark there."
"I'm sorry you had to go through that. It's my fault for not being able to provide you a better place to stay." Rosalie sighed, blaming herself. "It's all my fault."
Natalie quickly hugged her. "Mom, don't say that. You're the best. I love you the most."
Rosalie's face was a canvas of complex emotions, her eyes reflecting deep regret and guilt.
Natalie was such a kind-hearted girl, and she shouldn't have suffered so much.
But they all owed her!
Rosalie's expression hardened into a cold, almost chilling demeanor. If Natalie had seen it, she would've been shocked by the icy look that Rosalie had never shown before.
But Natalie’s face was buried in Rosalie's shoulder, so she missed it.
In the afternoon, after ensuring Rosalie was settled, Natalie went back to the hospital to check on the test results. Seeing the data, she felt relieved. The creatinine levels were still a bit unstable but much better.
She went to the consultation room, and Jagger glanced at the results and gave a few instructions.
"Make sure she takes the anti-rejection meds daily. Other than that, everything looks good. Just keep up with regular check-ups," Jagger said.
Natalie replied happily, "Thanks, Dr. Kamel."
Jagger said seriously, "No need to be so formal with me."
Just then, Jagger's phone rang. The screen showed "Traylor."
Natalie smiled faintly. "Dr. Kamel, I won't keep you." Then, she turned and left.
Jagger frowned slightly and answered the call. "Hello, Traylor, I'm with a patient right now. It's not a good time."
Traylor was persistent. "Did you see Natalie?"
Jagger was clearly annoyed. "Natalie's mom is my patient. What's wrong with seeing her?"
He didn't want to question how Traylor knew; it was pointless.
Traylor replied, "You can't let her go, can you? You still like her! Jagger, I've done so much for you. Can't you appreciate me a little?"
Jagger sighed. "Traylor, I'm really busy. A patient just came in. I have to go."
Traylor stomped her foot. Her mother was the deputy director, and she had always been excellent, with many boys chasing her. When had she ever faced such a situation?
But she just liked Jagger.
She called a nurse in the nephrology department. "Keep an eye on Dr. Kamel for me and see if Natalie meets him again."
