Chapter 844 Mrs. Howard

Natalie looked at the patterns formed by drones in the night sky.

Adrian said he would break off the engagement with the Cullen family, and once everything was settled, he would marry her.

That night truly felt like a beautiful dream.

Natalie pinched her finger hard; it hurt.

She thought even if it was a dream, it was worth it.

When she woke up the next day, Natalie found herself in Adrian's arms. Adrian was holding Natalie as he slept. Natalie gently moved her neck, changed her position, and looked at Adrian's sleeping face. She loved watching Adrian while nestled in his arms, her gaze tracing his eyebrows and eyes. Natalie wished time could stop right there.

Natalie took a strand of hair of hers and gently brushed Adrian's eyebrows and eyes with the tip.

Adrian frowned slightly, opened his eyes under the stimulation, and saw Natalie's pure and beautiful face. He smiled indulgently and hugged her tighter, pulling her into a full embrace. "Awake?"

Natalie asked, "Are you going back to the Howard Mansion today?"

Adrian replied, "Yes, after having breakfast with you."

Natalie went to the bathroom and washed her hair. While washing, a ring slipped from her fingers as she applied shampoo. She was startled, then immediately bent down, picked up the ring, and rinsed it clean with water.

The diamond ring sparkled.

It was a 15-carat diamond ring, surrounded by a circle of delicate small diamonds.

Looking at the ring, Natalie relived the euphoria when Adrian had proposed to her last night, something she had never dared to dream of.

Waking up this morning, Natalie felt it was too absurd, like a beautiful dream from last night.

Unexpectedly, the ring was really on her finger.

She quickly took a shower, even didn't even dry her hair properly and ran out.

She went to the kitchen, where Adrian was preparing breakfast.

Natalie walked over and hugged Adrian.

Her heart was beating fast as she tightly hugged Adrian's waist. Adrian was still holding a spatula. Natalie's emotions were obvious. Adrian thought something had happened. "What's wrong?"

Natalie's voice was muffled. "Last night, it really wasn't a dream."

Adrian smiled. "Of course, it wasn't a dream."

Natalie asked, "Then, what about Alice?"

Adrian replied, "I will break off the engagement with her, but I have to wait until she is discharged from the hospital."

Natalie nodded. "How is Alice now?"

Adrian said reassuringly, "You don't need to worry about her. You just need to know that at the latest, a month from now, we will have our wedding, Mrs. Howard."

The term "Mrs. Howard" made Natalie feel dazed again.

Alice was in the hospital. Since she woke up, the Howard family had only visited her once.

This made her a bit anxious.

Seeing that Alice had woken up, Curtis was relieved. There were many things piled up at the company, so he couldn't stay in the hospital every day. He instructed Avery to take care of Alice daily but today he was luckily free.

In the ward, there were only Alice, Curtis and Avery.

Avery was somewhat displeased with Alice for making decisions on her own without regard for her health. "Alice, you were really too reckless this time. What's with that ultrasound report? It didn't even detect your ectopic pregnancy! Do you know how dangerous you are right now?"

Alice leaned against the bed and said, "What's so dangerous about it? I'm fine, aren't I? Mom, you're just making a fuss. I knew I had an ectopic pregnancy. I was planning to terminate the pregnancy after Christmas."
