Chapter 541 Looking for Someone

[The chick in the pic kinda looks like Natalie, but it could just be someone who looks like her. Check out these photos—they're all side shots, so you can't see the whole face. Maybe someone picked these angles on purpose to set Natalie up.]

[Who the heck is Natalie anyway? Why's she blowing up all of a sudden? There's so much buzz about her, and I haven't even seen any of her work yet.]

Natalie was at home, scrolling through the comments under the trending news. Her fingers clenched so hard her knuckles turned white, then she slowly relaxed. She took a deep breath and tossed her phone aside.

Mindy called, telling her to chill for a few days. Her work would be on hold for now, and joining the film crew three days later wouldn't mess up the movie.

Mindy would handle the rest. She reminded Natalie not to go off and post anything on Facebook.

Natalie got it.

She stood up and walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window.

A breeze blew in, and she gripped the railing tight. She never thought Alice would pin her own crap on her.

The people in these photos were all Alice.

But she looked so much like Alice, so a post for clarification that it wasn't her wouldn't cut it.

In the past, Alice had framed her for stuff she did, using Rosalie to make her admit to it. But now, Alice was still at it. Natalie smirked. No one could threaten her anymore.

At 4 PM, on a street near Vachilit High School.

Down the street was a bar called "Blue Bar."

The sign was kinda beat up. It wasn't evening yet, so the lights were off, giving it an old-school vibe. Heather walked in, and the staff inside were cleaning. Before she went in, she saw a sign outside that said it opened at 7 PM.

A staff member at the bar, wearing a tank top that showed off his shoulder tattoos, looked kinda rough but spoke politely, "Sorry, ma'am, you can come back at 7 PM."

Heather opened her bag, pulled out her wallet, and without even looking, handed over a stack of bills. "I'm looking for someone."

The guy, Yancy Bailey, was the owner and bartender. He didn't take the money right away but sized her up. "Ma'am, our bar opens at 7 PM. Not everyone is here yet, so you probably won't find who you're looking for."

"How do you know I won't find them?" Heather shot back. "You didn't even ask who I'm looking for."

Yancy replied, "You're looking for Frank, right?"

Heather was taken aback, and Yancy continued, "Someone came looking for him two hours ago, but Frank didn't show up today. He's been hiding 'cause he's in debt, and I don't know where he is."

Heather tightened her grip on the cash, feeling uneasy. Could Alice's people have already been here?

Heather asked, "Who came at noon?"

Yancy replied, "Mr. Allen's secretary. Frank owes someone $80,000 and is hiding out."

Yancy looked at Heather's face and hesitantly asked, "Does Frank owe you money too?"

A lot of people had been coming around looking for Frank to collect debts. Frank owed a ton of money and was hiding out everywhere.
