Chapter 1296 He Will Come Back
Tonight was a rare moment of leisure. Natalie didn't have many scenes to shoot tomorrow morning, and with Anouk's arrival, she played a couple more rounds of cards downstairs.
Anouk's takeout had arrived long ago and had gotten cold outside.
Beatrix reheated it in the microwave. The four of them sat on the living room sofa, chatting and watching TV.
Clementine's new show had premiered, another period drama.
Anouk took some notes while watching.
To be honest, Clementine's attention to detail was quite good, and the logic was tight. She was one of the better screenwriters in period dramas.
Around 11 PM, Anouk was about to leave, but Natalie asked her to stay.
There were many guest rooms in the villa, and Beatrix took Anouk upstairs.
Natalie returned to her room. She was about to rest when she noticed a missed call from an unfamiliar number, which she assumed was Quincy's.
It was already very late, so Natalie didn't want to disturb Quincy.
The next morning, while getting her makeup done, Natalie called Quincy back.
"Quincy, it's me, Natalie."
"I heard from Adrian about this matter. You're looking for your friend, right?"
"Yes."
"Adrian has already sent me the information about that person, named Derek. I can only say I'll do my best to help you find him. Although I'm one of the participants, everyone has different roles. I can only say I have a certain share of the profits. You know, Melissa handles the family business, and I'm in charge of the harbor business. That's why they pulled me in."
"I know what kind of business they're doing. I only know that the big boss behind this cruise ship is the largest pharmaceutical group, Solstice. "Alright."
Natalie hung up and immediately called Aurelia to share the news.
Aurelia shared her own news with Natalie. "I heard that the senior Derek was looking for has been found, but he didn't come out with him. Instead, it was because of this senior that Derek switched places with Stefan and stayed inside."
Natalie gripped her phone tightly. "How do you know this?"
"Someone contacted me."
"Who?"
"Stefan."
Just last night, an unfamiliar number contacted Aurelia.
The person said his name was Stefan, Derek's partner.
He said that Derek, when being taken away, told him to contact Aurelia and tell her to wait for him, that he would come back.
On set.
The director was giving Eloy some direction, and Natalie was listening nearby.
She looked at the script, familiarizing herself with her lines.
Penelope walked over.
It was 9:12 AM, and they hadn't officially started yet. Penelope's assistant placed a chair next to Natalie, and Penelope sat down.
Penelope's outfit was very bright today, and her makeup was well done.
