Chapter 843 Proposal

Chris turned them all down.

But the $700 million in ticket sales was just the start.

The movie had only been out for a few days, and Chris was never one to be short-sighted. He didn't care about small, immediate gains.

Chris had a killer script, but it still needed some fine-tuning.

In the entertainment industry, protecting your reputation was crucial.

He'd told Natalie this before, which was a working motto he kept reminding himself as well.

In the evening, Adrian took Natalie to his private place, Bayview Villa.

Bayview Villa was one of the most famous villa districts in Vachilit.

Natalie had been there a few times. As soon as she walked in, a big dog jumped on her.

Natalie laughed and picked up Lucky. "Lucky, you chubby little one! Looks like you've been eating well!."

Adrian walked in. "Yeah, all it does is to eat and sleep. It's too cold in the winter, and the housekeeper hasn't taken it out for walks. I've been busy with the Howard family stuff lately and haven't taken it out either."

"Come on, let's go upstairs, to the rooftop." Adrian draped his coat over her shoulders. "Wear more. It's cold up there."

"Okay." They went up to the rooftop together.

It was just above the third floor.

Adrian called softly, "Lily."

Lucky ran up, and Adrian explained, "That's its nickname."

Natalie called out a few times, and Lily kept circling around her legs.

Adrian wrapped a plush scarf around Natalie's neck and then said, "Close your eyes."

Natalie closed her eyes.

About twenty seconds passed, and she suddenly heard Adrian say, "Open them."

Natalie flutter her eyes open.

The night sky above her head were full of luminous drones hovering in an orderly pattern.

The patterns changed, but Natalie could see that the drones formed an image of two people, a man and a woman with cartoon figures.

Then, suddenly, Adrian knelt on one knee. "Natalie, will you marry me?"

Natalie stared wide-eyed at the man kneeling in front of her.

She felt like there was a huge light in front of her.

She exclamed, "You!"

Adrian held out a diamond ring, which he had picked up from the Howard Group's jewelry store that morning. The ring was 15 carats, not very large, but extremely high in clarity, worth millions of dollars.

The diamond ring sparkled brilliantly.

Natalie looked at Adrian, and her heart was pounding wildly.

She couldn't believe it and felt like she was hallucinating.

Natalie thought, 'Is Adrian proposing to me? But how could it be? It all happens so suddenly.'

At that moment, Natalie pinched herself hard.

She thought in ecstasy, 'Is it a dream? No, it isn't a dream. I feel the pain in my palm. Adrian is really proposing to me.'

Adrian cooed again, "Natalie, I want you to be my wife and spend your life with me."

Natalie's eyes filled with tears of mirth. She reached out, her fingertips trembling.

She had never expected this day coming, not even in her wildest dreams.

Adrian took Natalie's hand and slipped the ring onto her ring finger.

Then he held her hand, stood up, and kissed the back of her hand.

"Now that you've agreed, you can't back out. Natalie, you can't run away for the rest of your life." His voice was hoarse and gentle.

Natalie nodded.
