Chapter 337 Drugging
Christina sang with two friends. After she finished, she noticed Adrian on the sofa with a waitress massaging his head. It felt odd to her.
Christina thought, 'Regular folks can't get close to Adrian. Who is this waitress? How is she able to do that?'In Emma's office.
Emma smiled as she listened on the phone. "How did it go?"
Artie replied, "Ms. Kroger, everything's set. No one will find out. This new drug is popular at the club. One part goes in the drink, the other is sprayed on the woman as perfume. It kicks in after two hours and leaves no trace."
Emma was pleased. She had already had Dorothy mess with Natalie.
Artie then asked cautiously, "Ms. Kroger, about my brother..."
Artie's brother had been detained for injuring someone. Emma smiled. "Artie, I'll have him bailed out tomorrow."
Though Emma was just a manager at the Imperial Nightclub, she had lots of connections and had seen it all. Bailing someone out was easy for her.
Artie said, "Thank you! If you need anything, just let me know."
Just then, Jason walked in. Emma, on the phone, saw him and immediately stood up, swaying her hips.
Emma wore a black lace dress with a blazer. She took off the blazer, showing her figure, and linked her arm with Jason's. "Mr. Duncan, what brings you here?"
Emma bent over a bit. Jason glanced at her and then moved to the sofa with her. Emma reminded him, "The door isn't closed."
"My assistant's outside. It's fine," Jason said impatiently.
Emma didn't actually like Jason, but he had power. He was the vice president of the Imperial Nightclub. Emma, from a rural background, had only $300 when she first came to the city and started as a waitress. She wasn't well-educated, just pretty.
Emma had climbed up from the bottom, with Jason's help. Five years ago, she knew she had to give something to get promoted.
After a while, Jason lit a cigarette. "The boss has been inspecting a lot lately. If he finds issues with the accounts, I'm done."
Emma adjusted her clothes. So, this was what Jason was worried about.
The CEO, Simon, had extensive connections and rarely appeared. The club was managed by Jason and another VP, Quentin White. Quentin, under another major shareholder, didn't get along with Jason. With Simon and Quentin absent, Jason was in charge, making him the most powerful figure there.
