Chapter 1317 Rachel's Disappearance
Natalie understood.
Alice had escaped from the psychiatric hospital.
Given Alice's personality, she would probably come looking for her first thing after escaping.
Adrian noticed the change in Natalie's expression and heard the name Alice, realizing something was up. "What's wrong? What happened?"
"Alice escaped from the psychiatric hospital. The police called me immediately to inform me because they were worried about my safety."
Adrian frowned, took out his phone, and immediately arranged for additional security personnel for Natalie. Seeing Adrian's worried expression, Natalie smiled. "It's okay, I have Callum with me."
"During this period, when you go to shoot, don't let Callum out of your sight, understand?"
"Got it."
Natalie was a bit surprised that Alice had managed to escape from the psychiatric hospital. If she could escape, it meant either someone helped her, or she wasn't actually insane and was just pretending.
Alice pretended to be insane to avoid prison.
Despite the external threat posed by Alice, Natalie still had to go for the shoot and couldn't delay the crew's schedule.
After staying at Bayview Villa for another day, Natalie boarded the plane.
It seemed that Adrian's instructions had an effect, as Callum kept his eyes on Natalie the entire time and remained vigilant of the surroundings.
Natalie smiled. "It's okay, relax a bit."
Callum shook his head. "I looked into Alice's background. She was the one who attacked with a knife at your wedding with Mr. Howard. She was sent to the psychiatric hospital for treatment because she was deemed insane. Now that she's escaped, she will definitely try to get close to you. If she managed to escape, someone must have helped her. She's in the shadows, and we're out in the open."
"Mrs. Howard, do you know if she had any contacts or friends who could have the capability to get her out of a high-security psychiatric hospital?"
Natalie thought of someone, but Carlos was still in prison, so how could he have helped her escape?
"She did have a few friends, but none with the capability to break her out from there. Only Carlos, the son of the Howard family's former butler John, but Carlos is still in prison, and John has been sent away by Ruben and is not allowed to appear in Vachilit. I can't think of anyone else at the moment."
In the afternoon, Natalie arrived in Suncrest City, where Heather was already home.
However, Heather didn't look well. "I still haven't been able to contact Beatrix."
Callum brought in Natalie's suitcase. Natalie briefly introduced Heather to Callum and then said to Callum, "Can you help me find someone, my assistant Beatrix?"
Heather pursed her lips. "It's not just Beatrix; Rachel is missing too."
Natalie's expression instantly became serious.
Callum's expression also changed.
They exchanged glances, all realizing the gravity of the situation.
Rachel and Beatrix had gone to a gathering together and went out to have fun. During these days, Natalie had returned to the Howard Mansion in Vachilit.
It was during this time that Natalie lost contact with both of them.
In just three days.
Natalie bit her lip. "Rachel and Beatrix haven't contacted me. On Saturday afternoon, during the dinner party at the Howard Mansion, around 4:30 PM, Rachel was still at the gathering and had a video call with her family."
She clenched her fingers. "This matter can't be delayed. Callum, as soon as you have any news, let me know immediately."
