Chapter 734 Smart People Choose the Right Path

Karen was about to lose her mind because of Alice. Who did Alice think she was? No work, no fame.

Last time Alice's trending news barely got any views, hardly any original posts, and even when it was trending, it didn't get much traction. Karen had to buy some users to create buzz because there was hardly any fan response.

Even when Alice posted a selfie on Facebook, there were barely any comments. Her team had to buy likes and shares. All the fan club activities were handled by the team, with not a single real fan. With this situation, why would luxury brands choose Alice?

Karen said, "Tell Alice, this entertainment industry doesn't belong to the Cullens. She can make such demands when it does."

"Isn't that too blunt? It might anger Alice," Odette frowned.

"You can rephrase it. But there's really no luxury endorsement. Even Victoria is pretending to be sick to avoid filming One Day, the movie's reputation is already ruined. Based on the public opinion we've monitored, even if it airs, the box office revenue won't be high. Netizens are generally unsympathetic to the rich. I don't think she can rely on her acting skills to make a comeback," Karen said, standing up. "Smart people choose the right path. For instance, Heather went from an ordinary executive agent to a vice president. Siding with the right person is crucial."

Odette nodded. "I understand."

On the other side, inside Blue Bar, Heather asked, "Yancy, can you do me a favor?"

Yancy said, "What kind of favor?"

Blue Bar wasn't open yet during the day. Yancy was wiping glasses at the bar, the transparent glasses glinting with a cold light.

Heather asked, "Do you have any connections to help me check on Cassidy?"

Heather didn't notice Yancy's eyelashes flutter.

Yancy pursed his lips slightly. Hearing Cassidy's name seemed to change his expression instantly.

Heather watched Yancy's slender fingers. Although Yancy was the owner of Blue Bar, he occasionally worked as a bartender at night. Heather grabbed a towel to help with the wiping. "Natalie's good friend seems to marry into the Reynolds Family. Recently, it seems the eldest son of the Reynolds Family, Austin, hasn't been in good health."

Yancy's fingers clenched tightly, and she looked up, her eyes suddenly deepening.

Yancy piped up, "Yeah, the Reynolds Family is about to undergo a change."

"You know about it, too," Heather said while wiping a glass, "I'm not very familiar with the affairs of wealthy families, but I've heard that Cassidy is quite formidable. Only Cassidy has a chance to take over the Reynolds Group. It's really impressive that she's come this far."

"She is indeed formidable, and ruthless, too. To get to this point, her hands can't be clean." Yancy sighed with a hint of self-mockery. "These people are all heartless."

"What's wrong? You seem to be in a bad mood." Heather waved her hand in front of Yancy's face. "Anything wrong happened recently?"

Yancy grabbed Heather's fingers. "No, I'm fine." He hugged Heather, letting her sit on her lap. "I'm just a bit tired."

Heather said, a bit worried, "If you're tired, go upstairs and rest."

Yancy replied, "Sure, let's go together."

Heather pushed against Yancy's chest. "Come on, it's broad daylight. I slept well last night, unlike you, working at night and resting during the day."
