Chapter 1116 Unable to Sleep

Rachel wiped her lips, fuming, and slapped Bobby again.

Bobby's head snapped to the side, a red handprint from Rachel quickly appearing on his handsome face.

His thin lips pressed together, showing no emotion. He just muttered in a hoarse voice, "Sorry."

Seeing he had sobered up, Rachel figured he was just acting out because he was drunk.

She shoved him away, her chest heaving. "Bobby, do you think I'm easy to mess with? If you try anything like that again, I'll tell Adrian, and he won't let you off!"

Bobby knew Adrian was not someone to mess with.

By now, Bobby's drunkenness had worn off, and he realized how ridiculous his actions had been. "Sorry, I drank too much."

Bobby looked dejected and regretful. He got out of bed and walked to the window, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it.

Rachel, having straightened her clothes, looked at him. She was clearly the victim here. Bobby had just tried to assault her, yet now he looked so downcast.

She couldn't figure Bobby out anymore.

Bobby's current demeanor was completely different from the confident and reckless guy he was when racing or when he used a bet to threaten her.

Now, he seemed lost and dejected.

"This is my place. You didn't tell me where you live, so I brought you here," Rachel said, then turned and walked out.

It was already late. Rachel couldn't make it back to the Howard mansion tonight. She had no choice but to find a bedroom here and wait until tomorrow.

She texted Chloe: [Chloe, if my family calls you, tell them I stayed at your place tonight. Don't spill the beans.]

Chloe: [Got it. By the way, what were you up to? I heard a man's voice. Rachel, be honest, do you have a boyfriend? What kind of man could be worthy of you?]

Rachel denied it: [No, stop guessing. I'm going to sleep.]

Rachel lay on the bed in the master bedroom.

Since she didn't live here year-round, the beddings and coverings were pretty basic, lacking any homey feel.

The air had a strange scent of incense.

Maybe it was because of the unfamiliar environment, but Rachel couldn't sleep, tossing and turning.

Still smelling the alcohol from Bobby on her body, Rachel got up and went to the bathroom. She turned on the shower and took a bath.

The dense scent of lychee body wash masked the unfamiliar smell on her body.

But she couldn't help but think of Bobby's domineering, heated kiss, which seemed to make her heart race.

Rachel leaned against the cold wall, trying to calm herself down.

'What is going on? Why is my mind filled with thoughts of Bobby?' Rachel wondered as her lips seemed to start burning as well, steam filling the bathroom.

Rachel looked at herself in the mirror, feeling a sense of shame. Her lips were swollen from Bobby's kiss, now red and lacking the bright color of lipstick.

Despite that, her lips were still full and beautiful. Bobby's kiss had been so domineering that her lips felt hot.

Rachel raised her hand to wipe her lips. She turned the water temperature down significantly and quickly finished her shower.

Suddenly, she slipped.
