Chapter 972 Termination of Contract
Sandra sneered and looked at Alice's submissive demeanor, finally feeling relieved. Today was her engagement ceremony, and she didn't want to make things difficult for anyone.
Sandra swayed her hips and swaggered away, arm in in arm with Armando. The two of them were quite a match. Many people walked over to congratulate them.
Diana sighed, "I wish I could find a husband like that."
Alice scoffed, "You have no ambition. What's so great about him?"
"This is already great. They're well-matched, and he's handsome." Diana said.
"If you think he is, then Adrian is like a god." Thinking about the broken engagement, Alice felt a suffocating pain. She had lost not just dignity, but also her future.
Alice came to attend Sandra's engagement party, and a bunch of media people pointed their cameras at her. Alice had to keep a smile on her face the whole time, but inside she was hoping for something to go wrong between Sandra and Armando.
"Alice actually came. She really looks like Natalie."
"So what if she looks like Natalie? Natalie is a big star now, and Alice got dumped by Mr. Howard."
"Keep your voice down. She's looking over here."
"Let her look. Does she really think she's still the future hostess of the Howard family, with everyone bowing and scraping to her? I don't even care about the Cullen family."
"It's true, but I think she looks worse than Natalie. At least Natalie is thinner. Even though their features are similar, Natalie is much more refined."
"Why do I feel like Alice looks much older, like she's in her thirties?"
"If you got dumped by Mr. Howard, you'd be stressed too."
"If I got dumped by Mr. Howard, I wouldn't even go out. How embarrassing about being the first person to be dumped by a wealthy family."
Alice's face grew darker as she listened to these discussions.
She turned around and stomped away as the name Natalie echoed in her ears like a curse.
Alice took out her phone and called Odette.
Since Karen's promotion, Odette had become her agent, responsible for liaising with her.
At this moment, in the deputy general manager's office of the media building, Odette was in Karen's office. The phone rang. She glanced at Karen, "Ms. Martinez, it's Alice."
Karen lifted her eyelids. "Answer it."
Since the news of Alice being dumped by the Howard family broke out, Karen had been planning to give up on Alice.
Unexpectedly, Alice contacted them first.
Odette answered the call.
"Odette, when are we reshooting the movie I was working on? We only shot half of it. What about my future resources? When can I join the crew?" Thinking about how Natalie was now thriving in the entertainment industry, Alice gritted her teeth.
Karen raised an eyebrow, not expecting Alice to dare ask for resources. She signaled Odette to hand over the phone.
Odette handed over the phone.
"Alice, it's Karen." Karen held the phone and swiveled her chair. "Alice, I just have something to inform you. Dynamic Entertainment has decided to terminate your contract. From now on, you're on your own."
Alice couldn't believe it. "What? Terminate the contract?"
