Chapter 124 A Pain Like Needles Prick

"Who are you? Andrea?" Adrian slowly opened his eyes. Inebriated as he was, his vision blurred, obscuring the scene before him.

"I'm not Andrea." Natalie looked at him, struggling to support his arm. "Are you awake? If you are, then walk by yourself! Do you know how heavy you are? It's really hard to earn double pay tonight! I should have rested in bed right now!"

Suddenly, she slipped on the ground.

She almost fell down the stairs, but suddenly, an arm wrapped around her slender waist. The person turned around, and Natalie tightly closed her eyes, expecting the pain, but it didn't come. She heard a muffled grunt from the man.
She opened her eyes and realized she was on top of Adrian, or more accurately, Adrian acted as a cushion for her.

The man squinted slightly, and the pain was nothing compared to the pain in his stomach.

He looked at the woman lying on him. "Who are you?"

His breath fell on her forehead, Natalie raised her gaze, they were very close. When he spoke, the strong smell of alcohol landed on her face, making her heart suddenly beat faster.

"Get up quickly."

She said as she got up, helping the man back to the bedroom. Although he wasn't very clear-headed, reeking of alcohol, he could at least walk on his own without Natalie. Inside the bedroom, she put him on the bed and was about to leave.

Suddenly, the man grabbed her wrist tightly and pulled her towards him. Natalie widened her eyes, her body falling towards him, their lips almost touching. She stared at him with her eyelashes trembling, feeling the smell of alcohol from the man as if it attracted her through his lips. Natalie trembled, quickly getting up.

But her wrist was still held tightly by the man.

"Hey, let go, Adrian, let go!"

"Alice." the man suddenly called out in a daze.

Natalie was stunned.

She forgot to struggle.

Did he think she was Alice, so he kissed her?

She bit her lip tightly, feeling a needle-like pain in her heart.

"Alice, what are you doing here?" Adrian frowned, cold sweat on his forehead. One hand grabbed the woman's delicate wrist, the other pressing on his abdomen.

For a while, Natalie clenched her other hand into a fist before slowly saying, "Just rest."

She pulled her hand out abruptly, turned around, and ran out quickly.

In the villa, Lucky heard the noise and ran over. Lucky was an Alaskan Malamute raised by Adrian.

She bent down and patted it. "I'm leaving."

"Woof."

Natalie patted him again. "Okay, I really have to go."

Lucky bit her pants leg and pulled her upstairs, seemingly unwilling to let her leave.

Natalie frowned. This large dog was almost as heavy as her. Suddenly, she was pulled back a step and almost fell.

"Lucky! No mischief!" She patted the dog's head.

She called a car, feeling it was a bit expensive, but wanted to leave as soon as possible. Sitting in the car, she watched the passing scenery outside the window, feeling a bit sad.

She wasn't Andrea, nor was she Alice.

Her name was Natalie.

It originated from the Latin "natalis" which means "birth" or "birthday."

Her heart suddenly felt particularly uncomfortable.

Back home, she washed her face and lay down on the bed. As she touched her ear, she suddenly realized that one of her earrings had fallen off.

Jagger had given her the Hexagram Earring, and now she was left with only one.

Where did it fall along the way?

Could it be at Bayview Villa?
