Chapter 1132 You're Quite Clever
Andrea was taken aback, her expression stiffening for a moment. She had been so caught up in showing off that she forgot Natalie was a top celebrity in the entertainment industry. Compared to Caspian, Natalie had even more fans.
"Alright, thank you, Natalie." Andrea maintained her elegant demeanor in front of Adrian.
Natalie said, "Then I'll wait for you at the concert tomorrow."
Andrea hadn't anticipated that her effort to flaunt Caspian's concert outing with Adrian, intending to irk Natalie, would backfire and instead leave her feeling awkward.
She had been so happy showing off that she completely forgot Natalie was a top star in the entertainment industry. It was also because she had been in a coma for so long and didn't know much about current events. It was too late to regret now, and she didn't dare to directly mock Natalie, fearing Adrian would think she was being unreasonable.
Suddenly, the sound of a dog barking echoed through the air.
Natalie turned around and saw Lucky running towards them. She bent down as Lucky happily jumped into her arms. "Lucky, did you miss me?"
Lucky wagged his tail and looked at Adrian.
Adrian, of course, remembered Lucky. He had raised it for six years. After not seeing Adrian for a long time, Lucky was even more excited and kept jumping on Adrian's leg.
However, Andrea took a step back in fear, as she was afraid of dogs. But seeing Adrian so close to Lucky, she held back her fear. "Adrian, what's its name? Is it yours?"
"Yes, it is Lucky." Adrian reached out and petted Lucky's head.
Andrea wanted to pet it too, but Lucky barked, and Andrea jumped back, screaming and hiding behind Adrian.
Adrian scolded softly, "Lucky, behave."
Lucky whimpered a bit, feeling wronged, then rubbed its head against Natalie's leg.
Natalie looked down and petted it as a form of comfort.
Back inside the Howard Mansion, Adrian walked up the stairs, barely speaking a few words to Natalie the whole time.
Natalie noticed that Adrian's leg had improved a lot. Today, when he walked, it was noticeably less stiff, lookingalmost normal. He had been recovering well these past few days.
Violette prepared a midnight snack, a small dessert and also warmed some milk.
Natalie took it. "I'll take it up. Violette, you can go rest."
"Okay, I'm watching the TV series you starred in. I'll go to bed after finishing watching these two episodes." Violette said.
Natalie looked at the TV which was playing a historical drama in the living room, realizing it was the anthology series she had acted in before. She didn't expect it to be airing already. Standing at the staircase, she watched for a bit. Back then, her acting was still quite raw and she was lively but wasn't skilled. However, it wasn't out of place. The historical costume was also quite novel.
Walking upstairs, Natalie stood at the study door and knocked. Inside, Adrian thought it was Violette and said, "Come in."
Seeing it was Natalie who entered, Adrian put down his book and said, "Why are you here? Didn't I tell you that you can't enter the study without my permission?"
"Didn't you just give permission?" Natalie said softly, "You said come in."
Adrian didn't expect Natalie to say that, stunned for a couple of seconds, and then said softly, "You're quite clever."
Natalie walked over with the snack. "Violette made some pies with fruit fillings. She also warmed some milk. Drinking some milk at night helps with sleep."
