Chapter 582 Pearl Island

Adrian chuckled and strolled out.

Natalie wasn't really feeling the whole eating out thing. She was smack dab in the middle of a gossip storm and didn't want to get recognized and judged for a breakfast. But, surprisingly, Adrian had booked the entire restaurant.

This place was on the 33rd floor, an open-air revolving joint.

From up there, the whole city laid out like a map could be seen.

The waiter came over and said, "Sir, Miss, your food's all here. Enjoy."

Natalie looked at Adrian. "You said today’s all about us."

Adrian nodded. "Yep."

Natalie sighed. "But I don't really have anywhere I wanna go. Why don't you just head back to work?"

Anywhere Natalie went now would cause a scene.

Adrian noticed her looking kinda down. "Eat up. After dinner, I’ve got a surprise for you."

Natalie raised an eyebrow. "Where are we going?"

Adrian just grinned. "You'll see."

At 2 PM, Adrian drove for an hour and they pulled up at Arborhaven Bay.

Natalie leaned out the window, checking out the view. "What are we doing at the beach?"

Adrian hopped out of the car.

Natalie followed, wrapping a scarf around her face and throwing on some sunglasses. The sea breeze played with her light pink scarf, and she grabbed it as she followed Adrian onto a boat.

That was when Natalie realized they were heading to Bright Pearl Island.

Coming back here, Natalie felt a bit nostalgic.

She remembered the last time she was here, she got lost in the forest.

The boat ride took over 20 minutes and they docked at the central hotel.

In front of them was a tall hotel, another Howard Group property.

Adrian took her hand. "Over the past year, we’ve developed a lot here. Last time we came, it was just starting. Now, everything’s almost done. You must be tired. Rest up and have a coffee. I’ve got more planned."

They grabbed a coffee in the restaurant, and Adrian had everything set up.

The staff, seeing Natalie, didn’t gossip or anything but served like robots.

Natalie gazed out the window at the view.

The sea breeze, carrying the ocean’s scent, blew in through the window where the sea and sky met.

Pearl Island, true to its name, was loaded with pearls.

Arborhaven Bay was pretty much owned by the Howard Group, and Pearl Island was a big deal for their jewelry company. The Howard Group’s jewelry biz had the whole pearl market on lock.

After about a 15-minute yacht ride, they hit the island.

The place had totally changed since Natalie’s last visit.

Besides the man-made forest, there was a processing factory not far off.

Probably for pearl harvesting.

Natalie remembered almost getting lost in that forest and Adrian saving her.

Adrian said, "It's getting late, so we can’t go into the forest. The deeper parts are closed off. I’ll take you to the pearl factory to see how it’s done. This month, the Howard Group’s 'True Love' pearl jewelry series is out. Let’s check it out."

Natalie followed Adrian.

The pearl factory was open for tours and shopping. Cracking open pearls and designing one's own jewelry was a hit with the rich and famous.

Natalie looked around at the hundreds of pearl oysters, each with a number. She picked one, and the staff handed it to her. She copied the workers, cracking open the shell to reveal a light pink pearl. The pearl was big and shiny, glowing softly in the sunset.
