Chapter 1311 Jealousy
Natalie said, "If I win, you have to agree to any one of my requests. If I lose, you set the conditions."
Donte laughed heartily for a few seconds, "Then I'll bet that in 10 minutes, there will be a light rain outside. If I win, you have to wear the diamond earrings I gave you."
"Deal!" Natalie didn't feel she was at a disadvantage. If she won, she could make any request, and if she lost, she would get a pair of earrings.
Ten minutes later.
A light drizzle fell on the window.
Natalie's eyes widened in astonishment.
The rain wasn't heavy; it was exactly the light rain Donte had mentioned.
A few minutes later, it stopped.
But Natalie had checked the weather forecast, and it said there would be no rain today.
She looked at Donte in shock, "How did you know?"
"Just a random guess, took a gamble."
Natalie said, "You won."
It's just a pair of earrings, right?
She put them on.
After putting them on, Natalie stood up, "Donte, if there's nothing else, I'll be leaving now."
Natalie walked out.
Donte waited until Natalie left, then leisurely lit a cigarette.
He took a puff.
White smoke obscured his handsome face.
Donte's long fingers flicked the ash.
Natalie had good taste and an even more charming personality.
After finishing the remaining half-pack of cigarettes, Donte walked out.
He saw in the living room his cold and indifferent brother Adrian holding Natalie's hand.
This was Donte's biggest rival, and also his own brother.
It was said that Adrian had lost his memory.
This Natalie had managed to control Adrian.
Once a person has someone they want to protect, they have a fatal weakness.
They can no longer be invincible.
Donte had become like this because of a woman.
Three years ago, he lost $90 billion, and apart from the southern division of the Howard Group, he had nothing left.
The business empire Donte had built himself had collapsed.
He didn't care about any of that.
Starting a career over was easy, but that woman had died.
Three years had passed, and her body was never found.
That silent sea had buried Donte's lover.
Adrian couldn't compete with Donte now.
Because Adrian had someone he wanted to protect.
And Donte did not.
10 PM.
A black Bentley stopped at the entrance of Bayview Villa.
Natalie tried to open the car door but found it wouldn't open.
She looked at the driver and saw that he had gotten out of the car.
The streetlights outside flickered dimly.
The car interior was dark.
Natalie's diamond earrings caught a glint of light.
Adrian squinted his eyes, and suddenly he wrapped one arm around Natalie's waist and the other around her neck, pressing a kiss onto her lips.
Natalie called out his name in a muffled voice, "Adrian!"
Adrian smelled of alcohol.
Natalie didn't know if he was acting on impulse because of the alcohol or what.
The kiss was rough and frenzied.
After two minutes, Natalie was struggling to catch her breath, forced to follow Adrian's rhythm. She pushed against his chest, "Adrian!"
What was wrong with Adrian, suddenly going crazy?
Adrian's grip was strong, and Natalie's waist hurt from his hold.
They were right at the doorstep, yet they didn't go inside.
Suddenly, Natalie felt a cool sensation on her earlobe, and then Adrian let go of her. She saw Adrian take something off her ear, open the car window, and throw it outside.
A flash of light, gone in an instant.
Natalie hadn't even reacted, instinctively taking deep breaths of fresh air.
Before a few seconds had passed, Adrian's intense and domineering kiss came down on her again.
