Heather forced a bitter smile. "Yancy once told me he wasn't happy at home. I thought it was just some typical parent-kid drama. They wanted him to take over the family business, but he had other plans. I never realized he was dealing with so much more."
Natalie gave Heather's hand a gentle pat.
Heather squeezed Natalie's hand back, her voice shaking a bit. "Actually, not too long ago, Cassidy asked me out and offered me twenty million bucks to leave Yancy."
"Twenty million? Tell her you'll give her thirty million to leave your boyfriend!" Natalie joked.
Heather couldn't help but laugh.
After giving his report, Derek left them alone.
Heather chatted with Natalie a bit longer before heading back to her room. After some thought, she called Yancy.
'I will become stronger and become the top agent in the entertainment industry. Only then will I be worthy of Yancy. I know Yancy is also working hard for me,' Heather thought while waiting the other end to answer.
The call connected.
Hearing Yancy's voice, Heather felt like crying.
Yancy, always the thoughtful one, noticed her hoarse voice and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just watched a really touching movie and I miss you."
"If you miss me, why not start a video call?"

Yancy smiled and said, "Heather, turn on the light."

The friends who used to flatter her were now mocking her behind her back. Only Diana still kept in touch.
But even Diana wasn't as fawning as before.
Sandra's face had healed, with no scars left.
During the engagement party, Sandra even sent Alice an invitation.
She also recorded a video and posted it on various forums.

Many comments under the video praised Sandra for being magnanimous in inviting Alice.

Alice couldn't reach Carlos either.
