Chapter 1066 Andrea's Provocation
"You knocked on Samuel's door in your pajamas, so what? I'll always trust you, Natalie." Adrian's deep voice came through, warm and reassuring, melting away Natalie's worries.
Natalie sighed, "I didn't do anything with Samuel. We're just friends and schoolmates. When I first got into the entertainment industry, he helped me a lot. I knocked on his door because I had something to tell him. I was there for like ten minutes and then left. I didn't expect someone to film it and twist the story."
"I know. Don't stress. I've got someone looking into it. We'll find out who released the video soon," Adrian assured her.
When Natalie walked into the conference room at Dynamic Entertainment, Heather noticed the smell of alcohol on her and handed her a glass of warm water.
Natalie looked visibly upset, and the room fell silent.
Finnian glanced at Heather and then at Karen. Karen kept quiet, knowing they hadn't figured out a good plan yet.
Heather broke the silence, "Natalie, have some water first."
Natalie took a sip, her voice still a bit hoarse. "Have we found out who released the video?"
Finnian nodded. "We found the source of the dinner video. It came from a third-rate entertainment magazine that bought it from a paparazzo for $200,000. The video was edited to cut out Oscar and Matthew. We have the full video and can clear this up. But we haven't found the source of the second video yet. The poster changed the IP address, and the original one is invalid. We need more time."
Heather added, "Since we haven't found the source of the second video, we haven't clarified the first one yet. If we say the first video was maliciously edited, people might question the second one. The second video is the key. If we don't handle it well, it could backfire."
Natalie nodded.
Karen chimed in, "I have some juicy gossip. Should we release it to cover this up?"
Natalie smiled, "Do you think any gossip can match the heat of my current video?"
Karen shook her head. The trending topic had already sparked a lot of discussion, and nothing could compare.
Plus, Natalie didn't want to rely on someone else's news to divert attention from herself.
Meanwhile, in a private villa estate, Andrea was about to rest. She had taken a nap in the afternoon and wasn't sleepy now. As she scrolled through her phone, she saw the video of Natalie knocking on a strange man's door. She immediately sat up, her eyes darting around. She quickly took out her phone and called Adrian.
Adrian answered quickly.
Andrea's voice was gentle. "Adrian."
"Andrea, it's late. Why aren't you sleeping?" Adrian asked.
"Adrian, are you okay? I just saw the news about Natalie. I know she would never do something like that," Andrea said understandingly.
Adrian sighed, "I'm fine. You don't need to worry about this. She wouldn't do that. Go ahead and sleep."
Andrea gritted her teeth, not expecting Adrian to trust Natalie so much. She wanted to sow discord but couldn't be too obvious. "Adrian, Natalie and that guy Samuel might just be normal colleagues, nothing more."
"Andrea, I know you're concerned about me and Natalie. Don't worry, we're fine."
Andrea hung up the phone, tossing and turning. The intense jealousy made her hate Natalie even more.
Natalie treated Adrian like that, and Adrian still trusted her.
The kind and gentle image Andrea usually portrayed was completely torn apart at this moment. She tightly gripped her phone, looking at the online doubts about Natalie. She created an anonymous account and replied with a comment: [She's exactly that kind of person. You've all been fooled by her. Besides seducing Samuel, she has ambiguous relationships with many men. She even used improper means to marry into the Howard family.]
