Chapter 871 The Black Gauze Dress

Even though Alice had a brief moment in the spotlight, her small fanbase meant the buzz wouldn't last long.

A sleek black sedan pulled up at the entrance of Blue Moon Lake. Natalie stepped out, feeling the gentle evening breeze on her cheeks. She shrugged off her coat and handed it to Heather. Marshall was already there, and as soon as he spotted Natalie, he walked over. "Ms. Teeger, glad you could make it."

Marshall quickly added, "Would you like to wait in the inner hall for a bit?"

Natalie nodded and followed him inside. Marshall brought out some desserts. "Lauchelle's here too, in the banquet hall. He'll be thrilled to see you."

Natalie remembered Lauchelle mentioning he was supposed to head back home, but Rebecca's warm invite convinced him to stay for the debutante ball.

Marshall said, "Lauchelle's flight is tomorrow morning. I'll let him know you're here."

Natalie shook her head. "No need, I'll catch up with him in the banquet hall later. Let's not disturb him."

Marshall knew Natalie preferred to keep things low-key and peaceful. "You're right."

"Marshall, go ahead and do your thing. Tonight's event is huge, no need to stick around me," Natalie said kindly.

Marshall nodded. Over time, he realized Natalie was genuinely kind and respectful. Even though he was just the butler, she treated him like family. He had made up his mind to stay loyal to her and manage the estate well. "Alright, if you need anything, just let me know, Ms. Teeger."

Rebecca, the host, was busy all night.

After most of the debutantes had walked the red carpet, Rebecca, feeling a bit tired, asked Ainsley to greet Natalie.

Ainsley wanted to remind Rebecca that she had promised to greet Natalie herself. But seeing Rebecca surrounded by debutantes, chatting and laughing, Ainsley had no choice but to go greet Natalie.

Meanwhile, on the red carpet.

Over a hundred debutantes had walked the red carpet from 5 PM to 7:30 PM. The media on both sides were exhausted; some had even left, and the photographers were worn out. Just then, Natalie appeared in a black sequined gown. She stood on the red carpet, the flashlights flickering, her face adorned with an elegant smile. Her makeup was flawless, her eyes sparkling like diamonds in the dim night.

She looked like a princess stepping out of a mysterious castle, with long curly hair, diamond eye makeup, and a black sequined backless gown.

Her smooth back skin gleamed like a gem, exuding a unique cool elegance amidst the flickering lights.

For a moment, the previously tired media and photographers were all excited again.

Natalie had attended many events before, but none like this, with continuous flashlights making it seem like an endless sea of white in front of her. She had learned professional expression management, slowed her pace, and even though her eyes were a bit uncomfortable, she didn't blink. With a slight smile on her lips, she ambled forward in a calm attitude.
