Chapter 1260 Giselle Montague
Natalie felt differently after watching it.
Adrian said, "I saw this movie in the theater when it came out. Cassius is one of my favorite directors. When it was released, I wasn't in the country. The screenings abroad were extremely limited; almost none of the major theaters had it. I drove over 40 miles to a private theater to see it. After watching it, I gave myself a break."
At this moment, the end credits were playing on the big screen.
Natalie pondered, "It seems like everyone is a culprit, but they only played a small part, which was part of their daily life and work. Each small part formed a larger whole, and in the end, the star died from the pressures of work and life. If this movie were released now, it would probably have a decent reputation. Six or seven years ago, it was indeed controversial."
By the time they finished the movie, it was around five in the afternoon.
When the blackout shades on the rooftop theater were retracted, a vast expanse of gentle dusk light filled the view.
Adrian looked at Natalie, hesitated for a moment as if thinking about how to start, and then took out a royal blue velvet box from his pocket.
Natalie was on the phone with Beatrix, who told her that she had arranged with the crew to schedule her scenes for the next two days, giving her a two-day break.
Natalie hung up the phone and saw Adrian looking at her.
She met Adrian's gaze, and Adrian coughed slightly to cover his embarrassment, "This is for you."
Natalie took it.
Opening the royal blue velvet box, she found a heart-shaped pendant necklace inside.
She looked at Adrian, and Adrian said, "I found this in my office drawer. It must have been prepared a long time ago, meant for you."
Natalie looked at the heart-shaped necklace, "I really like it. Help me put it on."
Adrian walked behind her and helped her put on the necklace, "If we hadn't had the car accident and I hadn't lost my memory, this pendant would have been given to you much earlier."
"But no matter the timing, it's already given to me." Natalie's fingers gently caressed the edges of the pendant, "Adrian, I also have something I want to give you. It's at the place where I'm staying now. Tonight, come back with me, and I'll give it to you."
"Okay."
"Mr. Howard," the assistant walked in, "Ms. Montague has been waiting outside for a while. She didn't want to disturb you and Mrs. Howard."
Adrian put his arm around Natalie's shoulder, "Let me introduce you to an old friend."
"Adrian, you came with Natalie and didn't even mention it to me. You came so suddenly. I immediately followed your instructions and set up the outdoor theater for you. How was it? Did you enjoy the movie?"
The woman who walked in was very beautiful, quite tall, wearing an off-white suit with long legs.
Her shoulder-length hair was both professional and elegant.
She didn't look very young, but she didn't seem old either.
Adrian said to Natalie, "This is Giselle Montague, the president of Suncrest City Starlight Hotel, and my friend."
Giselle extended her hand, and Natalie shook it, "Hello."
"I've only seen you on TV before. It's amazing to meet you in person. Natalie, you are truly beautiful. I love your movies; I'm a fan. I never thought I'd get to meet you in real life."
Giselle was very enthusiastic. Natalie, being a bit reserved, responded politely to Giselle's enthusiasm.
