Chapter 542 Frank

Yancy slipped Frank five grand for emergencies; otherwise, the dude wouldn't even have cash for a burger.

With a cig hanging from his lips, Yancy said, "Miss, if you got nothing else, you should bounce. Frank ain't coming back soon. Maybe check out some other spots. I gotta get back to work here."

Heather chilled out when she realized the visitor wasn't from the Cullen crew.

She kept digging, "Besides here, where else does Frank usually hang?"

Just then, a worker mopping the floor walked by, heard her, and chuckled, "Oh, plenty of places. On this street, Frank's a regular at half the joints. How much does he owe your boss? Don't hold your breath on getting it back. He's slippery and could be anywhere."

Heather eyed Yancy. She had a gut feeling he knew where Frank was. She slapped a stack of bills on the table and said, "Thanks for the info. Consider this cash for a drink. I'm not here to collect from Frank. If you can reach him, tell him I can help with that eighty grand."

With that, Heather turned and walked out.

Yancy glanced at the bills on the table. "Hey, Miss, come back at 7 PM. I'll see what I can dig up for you."

Heather didn't look back. "Thanks."

Yancy wiped a wine glass, then grabbed a few bills, giving them a once-over. It totalled up to six hundred bucks.

He caught a whiff of jasmine from the bills and squinted. "Hey, Adam, go find out where Frank's hiding."

Adam Price, on the other side, was fixing some lights with a cig in his mouth. "Frank? Last time you lent him five grand, he blew it all at Ken Rivera's casino. He's probably broke and crashing at his girlfriend's place."

Yancy said, "Go find him and let me know by 7 PM."

Adam climbed down from the stool, put down the lights, and, with a cig in his mouth, blew out a puff of smoke and muttered. "Yancy, it's only two hours. Where am I supposed to find him?"

He looked at Yancy, who was eyeing the bills, and smirked, "Yancy, you into that chick? She ain't a knockout, but she's got a killer body. She's hot."

Yancy said, "Quit yapping and get moving."

"Alright, alright, for you, I'll go look now."

Rosalie got home in the evening. The housekeeper was whipping up dinner. Rosalie had thought about letting the housekeeper go, figuring she could handle things solo.

But the housekeeper said Natalie paid her well and she needed the gig, begging Rosalie not to fire her.

So Rosalie agreed. Natalie still cared about her.

The housekeeper said, "Rosalie, let's keep it light tonight. There's some washed fruit on the table; grab some."

Rosalie plopped on the sofa, turned on the TV, and found her show.

After a bit of watching and munching on fruit, she pulled out her phone during a commercial break and glanced at it, just as a news alert popped up.
