Chapter 808 Whispering Secrets

Adrian said, "Let Derek take Bella home. I'll come get you."

"Are you done with work?" Natalie asked.

"Yeah, I'm done for now," Adrian replied.

"I'm at the amusement park entrance," Natalie said.

"Hang tight for 15 minutes. I'll be there soon."

After hanging up, Natalie turned to Bella. "Adrian's on his way."

Bella grumbled, "Finishing up with the Howard family business before coming to see you? That's cold. If I were you, I'd sweet-talk Adrian, get some cash, ask for more resources, and have everything I want. There are so many hot guys in the entertainment industry. I'd date one today and another tomorrow, all kinds of types."

Natalie shot back, "You talk a big game, but didn't you fall for it too?"

Bella sighed, "Time flies, and everything changes."

Derek pulled up at the entrance, and Bella got in.

"Call or text me when you get home," Natalie said.

"Okay," Bella replied.

Derek didn't drive off right away. He waited until Adrian's car showed up before taking Bella away. Natalie hopped into Adrian's car.

It was freezing outside. Natalie only felt warm again once she was in the heated car. Her fingers were stiff, so she wiggled them around before buckling her seatbelt.

"Where to?" She glanced at Adrian. It had only been two days since they last met, but suddenly, Adrian felt both familiar and strange to her.

"The movie theater," Adrian said flatly.

"What?"

"I haven't seen your movie yet," Adrian explained.

Adrian wanted to go to the theater with her to watch "The Nameless Road."

"You don't have to go out of your way to watch a movie with me," Natalie said.

"It's your first lead role. Of course I have to see it," Adrian retorted.

They parked in the underground lot. Even though it was past 10 PM, the theater was still buzzing. "Chase Sound" was almost sold out for every show, and "For You, My World" was also packed. The two movies were neck and neck. Many people thought one of these two films would be the holiday box office champ.

It was the last show of the day.

There weren't many people in the screening room for "The Nameless Road." Including Natalie and Adrian, there were only about ten people.

They sat in the back row in the couple's seats.

Natalie had seen this movie many times. As soon as the melody started, the plot began to roll through her mind.

Two hours and fifteen minutes later, the movie ended.

People in the theater started to stream out.

Natalie had been out all day and was a bit tired. She raised her hand to rub her neck.

She caught snatches of the conversation between a couple walking by.

"It's a pity that we didn't get the tickets for 'Chase Sound' today. But this movie is surprisingly awesome, which apparently made it up for that. Honey, don't you think this movie is a dark horse?"

"Yes, likewise. The plot is quite solid. It could be better if this movie got more advertising. Today's box office is only about $55 million, ranking seventh among Christmas releases."

There were a total of 10 Christmas releases, most of which were low-budget or animated films.

Although "The Nameless Road" didn't have a huge budget, for a modern film without special effects, it was already quite costly.
