Chapter 1154 Drunken Embrace

The atmosphere on the top floor was cheerful, and a long-lost smile appeared on Natalie's face. She felt relaxed, and the air seemed much fresher.

The three of them raised their glasses to toast to a better future.

Natalie gently closed her eyes, hoping that everything would develop in a positive direction.

Natalie's phone, which was on the table, vibrated. She smiled and looked down, thinking it was a work message or spam, but to her surprise, it was from an unknown number. She opened it and took a look, the smile on her face slightly freezing.

Andrea: [Sorry, Natalie, my foot injury flared up this afternoon, so Adrian took me to the hospital. We've been busy until now. Did you go to Caspian's concert alone? I'm really sorry. Are you home now? Adrian is still with me at the hospital. I'll ask him to go back right away.]

Natalie tightly gripped her phone as she took a deep breath, trying hard to control her emotions.

Derek and Heather were chatting lively.

Heather noticed that something seemed off with Natalie.

Natalie smiled and shook her head at Heather. "I might have drunk a bit too much, feeling a bit dizzy."

"Then drink a little less." Heather said.

Natalie didn't want her unhappy mood to affect others, so she stood up and went to the railing to get some fresh air.

In the dead of night, she had asked herself countless times whether Adrian wound really regain his memory, whether he wounld really remember her, and whether the second surgery would really be successfu.

Natalie tried hard to hold back her tears.

Even though she kept comforting herself, she still had to face the reality of his amnesia.

Around 8 PM, Natalie returned the Howard Mansion. Her steps were a bit unsteady, clearly that she had drunk too much. She walked into the living room without changing her shoes, her steps wobbly.

Violette came over. "Mrs. Howard, you're back. Mrs. Howard, have you been drinking?"

"Violette." Natalie recognized the person in front of her.

Violette helped Natalie to the couch and went to the entrance to get her shoes. "Mrs. Howard, let me help you upstairs to rest."

"I'm not going up. I'm not drunk." Natalie was usually gentle and resilient, kind and pure. At this moment, she seemed completely different.

Violette had no choice but to help Natalie upstairs, but Natalie wouldn't go, half-sitting on the floor. Violette was worried Natalie would catch a cold. "Mrs. Howard, let's go upstairs."

Although Natalie was very light, only about 100 pounds, it was still hard for Violette to lift a drunk person sitting on the floor.

Hearing the noise and came downstairs, Adrian walked out his bedroom and stood on the second floor looking at Natalie. "What's going on?"

Violette looked up, "Mr. Howard, Mrs. Howard is drunk."

Adrian came downstairs, smelling the alcohol on Natalie. As he saw her half-sitting on the floor, drunk, the frown on his forehead deepened.

He bent down and picked Natalie up.

Natalie seemed unwilling to go upstairs and struggled. "I'm not going up. I want to sleep in the living room. I'm not going upstairs!"

Natalie instinctively resisted.

Adrian, with a stern face, firmly held her. No matter how much Natalie struggled, she couldn't overpower Adrian.
