Chapter 941 Limited Edition
"Same old story, she's spending most of her time at the hospital with Austin, but he's still out cold." Lucy seemed to remember something. "But..."
Cassidy asked, "But what?"
"But Bella's been getting pretty chummy with Nicholas lately."
"Getting close to Nicholas?" Cassidy seemed to have a thought. "Keep an eye on those two. I can't help but worry about Nicholas."
Lucy nodded, "Nicholas is a total slacker. A few days ago, he was fooling around with some sketchy woman. They broke up, but she didn't take it well. She thought she hit the jackpot with a rich guy. I had to pay her ten grand to get her to back off."
Cassidy said, "I always feel like there's more to Nicholas than meets the eye."
Lucy said, "Mrs. Reynolds, you think Nicholas is just pretending to be a rebel while secretly plotting something. You think he might be sabotaging the Reynolds Group, right?"
Cassidy said, "A few days ago, someone told me the Reynolds Group found a financial loophole. It looks like someone was skimming money. The accounts seemed fine, but luckily we caught it in time."
With Austin in the hospital, Nicholas was the only one left in the Reynolds family.
Cassidy didn't buy that Nicholas was really uninterested in the Reynolds Group.
Lucy got it. "I've already got Ellsworth keeping tabs on Nicholas."
Ellsworth was Lucy's husband, full name Ellsworth Edwards. Both he and Lucy were close to Cassidy, and she trusted them a lot.
After a few minutes, Cassidy felt a bit tired; it was her usual nap time.
On Cassidy's way upstairs to her bedroom, her phone rang. Lucy handed it to her and said, "It's Yancy."
Yancy rarely called her. Cassidy, who had been feeling sleepy, suddenly perked up. She answered the phone, "Yancy."
On the other end, Yancy got straight to the point, "Did you go see Heather?"
Cassidy's expression tightened. "That woman must've complained to you!"
Actually, it wasn't Heather who told Yancy, but the waitress.
The waitress was the girlfriend of one of Julian's friends. Julian, his friend, and Yancy went to the café shortly after Cassidy and Heather left.
Yancy and Julian sat down in a booth.
The waitress came over. During work hours, she couldn't chat much, but since everyone ordered coffee and she wasn't busy, she stayed a bit longer and mentioned what she had just seen.
When Yancy heard about the wealthy woman wearing a diamond-encrusted Patek Philippe watch, he suddenly thought of something and asked the waitress, "Which model?"
The waitress had a picture on her social media and showed it. "This one."
Yancy immediately recognized it as Cassidy's watch.
Although Cassidy had a ton of watches, with a whole wardrobe and a watch cabinet full of them, she particularly liked this one. Plus, it was a limited edition.
