Chapter 937 Invitation

Ruben stared at Natalie, and it finally hit him why she seemed so familiar. She looked just like Octavia Valois.

Octavia, who was both strong and gentle, had been Ruben's first wife, the one who had always made him feel at ease.

This Natalie gave off the same vibe—gentle but strong.

"You saved my life once. I promise you one wish. Go ahead," Ruben said.

"I'll let you know when I have one," Natalie replied.

Ruben found Natalie intriguing. "Don't you want to marry Adrian?"

"Of course, he already proposed," Natalie said, showing off the diamond ring on her finger.

So, Adrian had already popped the question. Among his grandsons, Adrian was the most like Ruben, both in character and in his ways.

"Since he proposed, you should let me approve your marriage. In the Howard family, once I give my word, it stands, no matter what anyone else says."

Natalie smiled. "I know you will. Even if I don't use this wish, you'll still agree. Besides, this promise is from you to me. If I use it to get your approval for my marriage to Adrian, wouldn't that be a threat?"

Ruben's eyes showed admiration. "You really are a person of integrity."

Natalie replied, "Only because you are too."

Natalie walked out of Ruben's study, finding Adrian waiting for her at the door.

"You're still here?" Natalie asked.

Adrian took her hand. "What did my grandpa say to you?"

"Why don't you ask him yourself?"

"Alright, I'll take you to the airport and ask him when I get back."

Natalie had to shoot a film the next day.

It was already evening when she got off the plane. Heather didn't come along; only Derek did.

Heather had some matters to attend to.

Back at the hotel, Derek said, "My room is right next to yours. If you need anything, just call my room number."

Natalie nodded.

In the following days, Heather still hadn't returned.

In the café, Cassidy sat in a booth, wearing a light blue elegant suit. She had a gemstone pendant around her neck, making her skin look even fairer. She had a noble demeanor and a strong presence.

A waitress came up and served the coffee.

The waitress thought this elegant lady looked familiar, like she'd seen her in some business or financial report, but couldn't quite place her.

Cassidy was clearly different from the other wealthy folks who came here for afternoon coffee.

The waitress paid a bit more attention.

At the counter, the waitress chatted with a colleague. "Did you see that woman? The watch on her wrist looks like a limited edition Patek Philippe for women, surrounded by diamonds."

"How do you know?"

"My cousin works at a boutique. She often posts these on social media. I recognized it right away. And look at this lady, from her clothes to her accessories, everything is screaming elegant," the waitress said.

At 2 PM, there weren't many people here for coffee.
