Chapter 360 Attending the Lecture
Imperial Nightclub.
Natalie called Susan twice, but no answer. She frowned, worried.
Just as she was about to search for her, Denise called out, saying the schedule was out. Denise pulled Natalie over to check it out.
"Where's Susan? Why isn't she on here? Did she take leave? It should be marked," Denise asked.
Natalie glanced at the schedule. "I'm going to Melody's office," she said.
Ever since Susan mentioned the boss was that guy, she hadn't seen her. Was something up?
Natalie quickly reached Melody's office, knocked, and walked in. Melody was on the phone, so Natalie waited. When Melody finished, she said, "Come sit."
"Melody, do you know what happened to Susan?" Natalie asked.
Melody poured coffee and walked over. "Sit down, I'll explain."
"Melody," Natalie said, sensing something was off.
"Natalie, it's best not to ask too much. Yesterday, the CEO's secretary called Susan to the CEO's office. By afternoon, they said she was fired."
Natalie's eyes widened. "Why? Is the CEO really the guy Susan was looking for?"
Melody glanced at her. "I've been here nearly ten years, Natalie. Be careful. If the CEO is who Susan mentioned, it's not information we're privy to."
Natalie knew Susan's story. That man was crucial to her. Sometimes, a man's casual promise is guarded by a woman for a long time. He might have forgotten Susan.
She got Susan's home address from Melody and prepared to leave.
Melody asked, "By the way, Natalie, has anything happened to you? Has Emma caused trouble?"
Natalie nodded. "There's something I need to tell you."
Melody looked knowing. Natalie explained what happened in the private room the night before last. Melody frowned. "I knew it. Emma would do that. Work on the second floor for now. Contact me if anything happens."
"Okay, thanks, Melody," Natalie replied.
Melody said, "Kevin mentioned you contacted him. Have you decided?"
Natalie clenched her fingers. "I have to seize the opportunity, right?"
Melody smiled. "Good!"
On Saturday afternoon, Natalie arrived at Vachilit Film Institute on time.
Following the text message, she reached the large conference room, got her lecture badge, registered, and walked in.
She wore a mask, and by the time she got there, the seats were almost full, so she went to the back.
At first, she felt odd wearing a mask, but saw many students and celebrities in Victoria's acting class were also masked.
