Chapter 1025 I Will Never Divorce You

Leon’s eyes were dark and brooding, his tone dripping with questions and dissatisfaction.

The execs could see Leon was pissed, and some had already figured out the troublemaker was Isabella, so no one dared to say a word.

Seeing no one speak up, Bronte covered her face and stepped forward. "Mr. Johnson, your wife came to the office, caused a scene, and slapped me twice. I called security because I was scared she’d hit me again."

Leon glanced at the red mark on Bronte’s face. "I don’t think Isabella would hit you for no reason, would she?"

Isabella was stunned. She looked up at Leon, thinking, 'What’s he getting at? Is he defending me? Shouldn’t he be siding with Bronte?'

Bronte, playing the victim, said, "I put up with it for you. After all, I like you!"

Leon frowned at that.

Not wanting to see them flaunt their affection, Isabella turned and walked away.

Seeing Isabella leave, Leon coldly said to Bronte, "Then you deserved to be hit."

He then turned to chase after Isabella.

"Leon!" Bronte tried to stop him.

But Leon was already following Isabella, leaving Bronte fuming.

Isabella saw Leon catching up and quickly stepped into the elevator, pressing the close button.

Leon ran over, but the doors closed just in time, and he pounded on them, missing her by a hair.

Staring at the closed doors, Isabella’s eyes welled up with tears.

She couldn’t help but think, 'Why is he coming after me? Hasn’t he already been with Bronte? Or maybe they’ve been together for a while, and I’ve just been in the dark.'

The elevator stopped at several floors, and Isabella quickly wiped away her tears, not wanting anyone to see her sadness.

Even though she’d fallen into Bronte’s trap today, she wasn’t afraid of divorce. At least she’d slapped Bronte twice, venting some of her anger. Although Bronte had played the victim first, she didn’t care anymore. Leon could think whatever he wanted.

The elevator doors opened, and Isabella quickly walked out.

Just as she stepped out of the Johnson Corporation building, someone grabbed her wrist. "Isabella!"

She looked down and saw a familiar large hand holding her wrist.

Feeling his touch, Isabella immediately shook off Leon’s hand with all her strength. "Let go of me!"

Leon, helpless, released her wrist and frowned. "Why are you here?"

Hearing this, Isabella got even angrier, pointing at Leon’s nose and scolding, "You have the nerve to ask me? Don’t you know what you’ve done?"

"What did I do?" Leon asked, confused.

Isabella couldn’t hold back any longer, tears streaming down her face. "You spent the night with Bronte last night. You must have had a great time, right?"

"How do you know?" Leon frowned tightly.

Hearing Leon's words, Isabella took a couple of steps back and sneered. "So you admit it?"

Seeing her pained expression, Leon frowned, looking genuinely confused. "What am I admitting to?"

Isabella scoffed at his bewildered look. "This is the photo you sent me last night. What else do you deny?"

She pulled out her phone, found the photo Bronte had sent her, and shoved it in Leon's face.

Leon saw the provocative photo and was momentarily stunned. "I went to a social event last night and got drunk. Bronte and Royce must have taken me home. Nothing happened between us. You have to believe me!"

Isabella laughed bitterly. "Leon, do you think I'm an idiot? Even now, you say it's a misunderstanding. What are you gonna say when you two have a kid together?"

"I..." Leon was at a loss for words.

To Isabella, his silence was as good as a confession.

She raised her chin, eyes filled with determination. "Since you and Bronte are so in love, I'll let you be. We've already made a scene today, and neither of us has any dignity left. There's no point in staying together. You might as well sign the divorce papers early!"

Leon’s face darkened. "I'll say it one last time: I will never divorce you!"

Isabella, fed up, snapped back, "Fine, then we'll separate for six months. After that, we'll see each other in court!"

She turned to leave, not wanting to exchange another word with him.

Leon, of course, wasn’t about to let her go. He grabbed her shoulder. "Isabella, can you calm down? Do you really think one photo means I cheated on you?"

"Do you want me to catch you two in bed?" Isabella shot back, trying to break free.

Leon held on, still trying to explain.

In the struggle, Isabella accidentally bumped her arm against her chest, wincing in pain.

Seeing her in pain, Leon let go and asked, "What's wrong?"

"It's none of your business!" Isabella snapped, turning to leave.

Leon, worried, grabbed her arm again.

Isabella was wearing a black business suit with a light pink blouse underneath. When Leon pulled her, the buttons on her jacket came loose, revealing the blouse.

Leon noticed her blouse was wet in patches, and her chest was noticeably swollen. "What's going on? Why are you like this?"

"None of your business!" Isabella tried to shake him off, but Leon wouldn’t let go.

"If you don't tell me, I won't let you go," Leon said stubbornly.

Realizing he wouldn’t let up, Isabella finally snapped, "I'm weaning Milo."
